Simply Earth Diffuser - Value $49
Simply Earth is sending new subscribers an essential oil diffuser with their first box. I already have two of these but am happy to have one for the downstairs now! By adding water and a few drops of essential oils to the diffuser reservoir, the diffuser releases the scented water into the air. Many people use these as an alternative to candles. I currently have one in our most used bathroom and another beside my bed for sleepy time.
Each month Simply Earth sends 6-7 essential oil recipes. I’m not sure they will send them attached to an O-ring each month but it sure does make it helpful to keep together!
Lavender Essential Oil - Value $8.95
Peace and Quiet Essential Oil Blend - Value $9.95?
Mandarin Essential Oil - Value $9.95
Tangerine Essential Oil - Value $8.95
All of these essential oils were included in the box! Their packaging is great and I like that each box has suggestions for how to use the oil. The bottle label tells what plant part was used to make the oil, where the plant is from, the ingredients and the aroma description. Simply Earth says all their oils are tested 100% pure therapeutic grade too.
Sleepy Essential Oil Blend Roll-On - Value $8.95?
Simply Earth also included a roll-on essential oil blend to promote sleep. It is made of lavender, rosewood, bergamot, grapefruit essential oils which are diluted in fractioned coconut oil. It should be rolled onto the bottoms of your feet before bedtime.
One of the most unique parts of Simply Earth is that they include recipes on how to use the essential oils they sent. There are quite a few other essential oil boxes on the market but this one seems quite unique.
Recipe #1: Kids Bubbles
We made the bubbles first with corn syrup, water, dish soap and tangerine essential oil. It was so easy! We mixed the water and corn syrup together then heated it up and then added the tangerine essential oil and the dish soap. We’ll definitely do this again.
Recipe #2: Play Dough
We’ve made play dough before and it’s incredibly easy. I’ve never thought about putting essential oils in the dough, though. What a great idea! The dough required a lot of coloring to make the color vibrant. My daughter, Cira, loves this dough!
Recipe #3: Cloud Dough
I’d never heard of Cloud Dough before so I had to look this one up. It soft and malleable similar to the kinetic sand. It’s a sensory activity that is can be calming and fun at the same time. This was extremely easy to make – like all the recipes we tried- and Cira likes playing with this. It is kind of a mess though so it’s best to put it in a big plastic box or a sheet pan when the kids play with it.
Recipe #4: Calming Water Beads
These beads are very cool and smell delicious when the essential oil is added. Cira put some in a bag and gave them to my aunt because she liked them so much. I’m still adding water to them and they keep getting bigger. We love these!
Recipe #5: Monster Spray
Yet another winner from Simply Earth. Cira has been spraying this in the house, in the car and on herself for about a week now. Monsters are being banished and everything smells divine. Brilliant!
Recipe #6: Bubble Bath
And finally something for mama! Okay, I know this is a kid’s box but my daughter is a product of modern parenting which means she gets too much…so this is mine! Now that said, I’ll probably share it with her since this stuff smells wonderful!
Verdict: This box is incredible! We received 4 essential oils, the oil blend roll on, and all the items for making the recipes. What a great deal! The recipes were easy to complete and the fruits of my labor will be enjoyed for months to come. Plus, I learned lots of new ways to use my essential oils which is the best part. Essential oil recipes are easy to find but I, like most people (I think), am more likely to accomplish the task when provided with all the tools.
I think this box is a great value too! Just the essential oils (very reasonably priced!) add up to $46.75 but if you add in the diffuser the value rises to $86.70 and that still doesn’t include the cost of all the supplies received (recipe booklet, bubble want, label stickers, plastic bag, calming bead, aluminum spray bottle, bubble bath base). Plus, I truly appreciate that Simply Earth donates 13% of their profits to organizations that fight against human trafficking. This is a great subscription for anyone who appreciates essential oils!
