Yuzen is one of the original eco subscription boxes. It’s a mix of spa, beauty, and the occasional food item, and everything is made with natural ingredients.

Now, onto the items!

EuGenia Essence of Lavender Shea Butter - 2 oz Value $12.50

yuzen-box-november-0021

This is made with only 5 ingredients: shea butter, shea oil, lavender essential oil, baobab oil, and moringa oil. (If you love a subtle lavender scent like I do - you will love this!)

The shea butter is solid in the tin, but it melts into your skin and is super moisturizing. (This tin is tiny, but a little goes a long way with shea butter, so it evens out!)

Goddess Garden Bright Eyes Firming Eye Cream - FULL SIZE! Value $18

yuzen-box-november-0012

This eye cream is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and it has a light, natural scent. It's designed to help depuff eyes, hydrate, and help fade fine lines.

I can't comment on the depuffing or fading lines aspects yet, but I could feel the hydrating benefits immediately.

yuzen-box-november-0013

Juara Coconut Illipe Hand & Nail Balm - 8 ml Value $2.15

(Good to know for swaps - has inner foil seal.)

This hand cream absorbs pretty quickly - so you don't have to worry about greasy hands. AND! If you love coconut/tropical/beachy scented products - this will be your favorite new hand cream!

yuzen-box-november-0010

LATHER Lavender & Eucalyptus Foot Creme - 2 oz Value $9

(Good to know for swaps - has inner foil seal.)

This foot cream was lighter than I expected! If you are looking for a quick-absorbing foot cream, this is it! The scent is a blend of lavender and eucalyptus, but for me, the only scent I can detect is the eucalyptus. (Still, a nice alternative to the usual peppermint foot creams!)

SPARITUAL Close Your Eyes Bath Salts - 1.5 oz Value $4.90

yuzen-box-november-0019

You can use a teaspoon of these salts with warm water for a manicure soak, 2 teaspoons for a pedicure, or a "generous amount" for a full body bath. (I'm guessing a generous amount will be this entire sample.)

These bath salts smell amazing, so I'll using them for the full body bath option!

Tatcha Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder - Travel Size Value $15

YES! One of my favorite brands and products ever!

Good to know for swaps: has sticker seal:

yuzen-box-november-0015

Once you remove the sticker, there's a tab you can open to dispense the powder:

yuzen-box-november-0016

If you aren't familiar with this skin cleanser, here is how to use it:

Begin with wet hands and a wet face. Pour about half a teaspoon into hands, add water and rub hands together to create a creamy foam. Massage gently onto a wet face in circular motions for 10-20 seconds, avoiding eyes. Rinse and revel in your soft, smooth skin.

yuzen-box-november-0017

This is one of my favorite cleansers because it is gentle, but it still exfoliates and makes you skin super clean. (And it doesn't dry your skin out either.)

yuzen-box-november-0022

Chocolove Almonds & Sea Salt in Dark Chocolate - Value $3

yuzen-box-november-0023

I'm not always a dark chocolate fan, but the crunchy almonds and sea salt crystals made me a fan of this bar!

BUT! My favorite sweet in this box is:

yuzen-box-november-0024

JJ's Sweets Vanilla Cocomels (2) - Value $.50

These cocomels are caramels made with coconut milk, and they are the best dairy-free candy I've ever tried.

yuzen-box-november-0025

I wish there were more in the box, but I will eat as many Cocomels as you put in front of me, so maybe Yuzen was doing me a favor! 😉

Verdict: This box has a value of about $65. I think that's great for a $33 all-natural beauty and spa box, plus I pretty much always love everything Yuzen sends. There were so many of my favorite brands in this box!

I love this box! It was like every item they included was exactly what I needed. The shea butter tin has a lovely mild scent and use it during the dry fall. The JUARA hand cream is divine and takes me to a beach, the eye cream works great when I remember to put in on before bed, the Tatcha powder keeps my skin soft and smooth, the bath salts are divine (used them last night and slept like a baby afterwards), the footbalm keeps my feet from getting too dry and like Liz said it is a refreshing scent. Don’t get me started on the chocolate or caramels. DIVINE!!

This box was the last box in my subscription and I feel like they went out with a bang. Every single product will be lovingly used and eaten. In fact I’ve already devoured those Cocomels and plan on ordering more! Out of all four boxes this year this one was definitely the best, followed closely by the Spring box. The Summer box really wasn’t my cup of tea (I honestly don’t think I’ve touched any items from it since I got it) and the Fall box was only ok. For those reasons, plus the fact that I’m on product overload, I don’t think I’m going to renew for next year. I do appreciate that I have discovered some new brands and products that I am completely in love with but 2 out of the 4 boxes were kind of duds and that just doesn’t cut it. I’m canceling a lot of my beauty subs this next year until I can make a dent in my stock pile and then maybe I will reconsider.

Yuzen is such a treat. I feel like a queen when I receive it and get to have a spa day to myself. The products are always heavenly. The TATCHA is AMAZING!! So are the bath salts. And Yuzen has the best packaging. Highly recommend this box to anyone stressed out and need some missing me time in their lives.

I was delighted with every item in my box, and the packaging is truly exquisite. This was the last box of my yearly subscription and I will definitely be resubbing for another year. This is my absolutely favorite box – I feel pampered whenever it arrives! LOVE!!!

Yuzen is hit or miss for me, but this quarter’s box looks really good to me.

Andi

I like Yuzen, but I just don’t love it as much as Goodbeing, so I’m going to discontinue my sub. But you’re right – those cocomels are delicious!

Yuzen box rocks! LOVE LOVE LOVE this box! Never disappoints in introducing me to amazing natural/organic brands and tells you why they have been chosen. Definitely using this box for my holiday gifts. The usually have a holiday special box too that I am on the lookout for.

Those cocomels were SO GOOD!

I am not a fan of lavender so this box was a bit of a miss for me. At least I have some gift able items in time for the holidays.

One of the best boxes out there – loved everything yet again. I have 3 new favorites to add – well 4 if we count the chocolate which was yummy.

I’m planning on dumping all of my non eco boxes (4) and subbing to this. I still need help (lots of help) with choosing just one more….

I like this is only quarterly, no product overload!

I love Pearlesque!
As long as you don’t mind spending a little more for full-size + deluxe size products. Each month is a new brand and all products are from that line. There is always a spoiler of some kind in time to skip if you aren’t interested for a particular month.

I agree with the others, Goodbeing is awesome! My favorite box!

Tiffany

You should check out goodbeing!

Lee

Agreed. Goodbeing is my favorite box.

Lindsay

I’ve done that as well, and so far this box is great! I am almost positive that I am going to sub to Good Being too because the value of an annual subscription seems amazing, it’s a natural beauty box, and you get to choose a couple of your products each month. Also if you aren’t looking specifically for beauty, Causebox is my absolute favorite subscription! I hope maybe that helps in making your choice for another sub 🙂

I’m completely loving being able to choose 2 of my products each month! I loved GoodBeing before, but love it even more now!

Janet

Yuzen never disappoints! Can’t wait to get my box. Looks great!
