While there aren't themes to the monthly boxes, you will, typically, know 2-3 franchises being featured in the upcoming box.

Harbinger Renegade Shirt - Value $15?

This month's exclusive shirt pairs with on of the comics in the box. This features characters from Harbinger Renegade from Valiant publishing - check out the comic below.

Daredevil Mini Mug - Value $10?

One of the non-comic items this month is a tiny 6 oz Daredevil mug.

The mold and finish of this mug are just super cool. But it's only a 6 oz mug, which seems reasonable for espresso or mini eggnog mugs.

Deadpool Lanyard - $5-10?

The second non-comic item is a Deadpool lanyard.

It's got a clip for easy removal of whatever credentials you might be carrying.

Harbinger Renegade #1 - Value $3.99 + Exclusive variant cover

The first comic pairs with your shirt! This is the first issue of Harbinger Renegades.

comic-block-november-2016-0020

I don't read many Valiant comics - I've tried a couple that have come in past boxes - but nothing has really gripped me yet. While this one didn't do that either, it was still a cool 'super team' story.

Hellboy and the BPRD 1954 #13 - Value $3.99 + Exclusive variant cover

This issue was called 'The Unreasoning Beast' and features a ghost monkey. Hellboy + a ghost monkey, do you need any other encouragement?

comic-block-november-2016-0023

This was my favorite of the month. I love Hellboy, and the BPRD stories are usually a blast, and this is no different.

Batman + TMNT Adventures #1 - Value $3.99 + Exclusive variant cover

I loved the little Batman and TMNT crossover this year, so I was excited to see another crossover between the two. Bonus points for it being the Animated Series Batman!

comic-block-november-2016-0029

The artwork nicely drives home the tone - pure fun, jokes, and battles! Ever want to see the turtles vs. Clay Face? Pick this issue up!

Masked Anomalies - Value $3.99 + Exclusive variant cover

The final comic of the month is from Titan Comics.

comic-block-november-2016-0026

This issue just slightly breaks ground into what will likely be a vast storyline - and it looks like it will be a great run!

From Amazon:

Frank Braffort has returned from war suffering from PTSD, but he is thrown headfirst into a terrifying new reality where phenomena, called Anomalies, appear out of nowhere. Facing this mysterious and lethal enemy, Braffort is called on to go into battle once again for the safety of the city!

X-Women Print - Value $10?

Lastly, they also include a glossy print. This month's print is from the artist Tommoken and features numerous the heroines in the X-Men Universe. I thought this was a great print with some up-to-date style on some of your favorites mutants!

Verdict: There is some huge value in this month's Comic Block! At $19.99, I can't believe we received 4 comics + 4 other items - that's great for the price. On top of that - I really enjoyed every comic this month, and each one was new for me - this month was a big win.

It’s a good value, but c’mon, enough with the mugs and lanyards guys. I’d rather one more comic than another mug and lanyard.
