This month’s candle collection is called “Sweet November.”
On the opposite side of the theme card, it lists all the candles and their descriptions.
Candelaria Onyx Soy Candle – 6 oz, Value $12
This candle is described as “Aromatic, richly hued rosewood timbers are balanced with nuances of cassis, Otto rose, green olive, cassia bark, rich cedar, black amber, soft sandalwood, and sheer musk.” It’s definitely a unisex fragrance and, personally, I felt like it was too masculine. It just smelled a lot like cologne to me. I know some people out there would love this but I just don’t, unfortunately.
Paddy Wax Fresh Fig & Cardamom – 3 oz, Value $11
I love this candle! First of all, the packaging is amazing. This little jelly jar is so pretty. This fragrance is great and is fruity and light, balanced with the nuttiness and slightly woodiness of the cardamom. I love it, but it would also be perfect for gifting.
Woodfire Candle Company Tobacco & Honey – 8 oz, Value $13.50 (normally $18, but it’s on sale)
Speaking of good for gifting, this candle is also a great one for gifting. It comes in a small stamped bag and also has a wood wick which just makes any candle seem extra fancy. This candle smells like smoky tobacco and mahogany woods with creamy vanilla and dark brown sugar. I wasn’t sure I’d love this based on the tobacco, but this one just smells amazing. It’s sweet and warm and well-balanced.
Verdict: The Fall and Winter months are my favorites for candle fragrances (and also usually subscription boxes in general). I’m really happy with two of the three candles, but I like the fact that I can gift any candles I don’t personally care for from candle subscriptions (holidays, hostess, “just because”). The value comes out to $36.50 which is less than the cost, but I know I wouldn’t have found these candles without this subscription, and the Tobacco & Honey candle is on sale, so overall I’m satisfied.
