There are 3 different subscription types: Basics, Essentials, and Select.
The Basics membership includes 2 basic-wear shirts. The Essentials membership includes 3 basic-wear shirts. The Select membership includes 2 basic-wear shirts and a select item that could include unique fabrics, dyes, washes, or garments (i.e. henleys/raglans).
This is a review of the Select membership which is $34.95.
The customization process is pretty straightforward and simple.
You'll first select whether you're looking for a grayscale or color shirt selection.
The second, and last, option is whether you'd like lighter or darker tones.
For my box, I chose Darker Tone Color shirt selections.
There's a little intro card welcoming you to the club. This doesn't include a card that details the items in the box, though.
2 Basic-Wear Shirts
These are my 2 basic shirts. They're both tagless, cotton/poly blend shirts that have a very comfortable fit. From my selection, I've found that to be pretty true to size - which was a nice surprise since sizing can be crazy across different subscriptions!
As promised, they're basic - but I've always been a fan of a comfortable, plain tee - so this will be nice for my closet.
Select Tee
This was the real winner of the month! My select item was still a cotton/poly shirt - but it has a special touch - those little speckles have texture, making for a fun a unique finish.
This was the shirt that immediately caught my eye - and I wore it the entire day!
Verdict: These are definitely higher-priced basic shirts, but they also feel like a higher quality product. They're thicker and still more comfortable and fit than, say, and Ameican Apparel basic shirt. I really loved the Select item, though, I'd like to see a membership option of only select items, actually - that could be fun to switch to every once in a while if you're subscribing on a monthly basis.
