Has anyone else had this problem when using the voucher: after it is accepted for the 6-month (3 box) plan, it takes off $149.99, leaving 0.00 due. Before I can place the order, it wants my credit card info, and the page says I’m agreeing to auto-renewal, even though the page I got before checkout specified, “This plan will NOT auto-renew.” I sent a message to LLB on their site but was basically told to do the same thing I already did, and they didn’t address the credit card problem. Thanks for any help!

I think the issue with the Gilt redemption… After six e-mail back and forth with customer service, I figured it out on my own… Make sure you are specifically adding Six Months of Little Lace Box × 1 to your cart… The Gilt City voucher redemption link takes you to Bi-Monthly 49.99 Little Lace Box Subscription, which is not the same thing… Very confusing.

I’m really tempted to buy this, but I’m not sure if I should go for it. Any advice/input?

I loved the box I got from them. And I’ve shopped a lot of these boxes and theirs by far was the best.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH GILT CITY:
To buy this box I created a new account and tried to check out using my PayPal. It told me there was an error so I did the customer service chat and the woman told me she could process my order if it looked correct. I told her it did but I need to make sure that the PayPal is using my credit card instead of my bank account, as I selected. She told me she couldn’t see that but that if I “delete my browsing history and empty my cookies” I should be able to place the order on my side. That’s too much work to check out on a site that shouldn’t have issues, right? So I asked if I could pay with my credit card instead and she tells me I have to save my credit card information to the site and set it as default. How about no?? That’s not secure.
I ended up ending the chat with Mary Prendergast – who wasn’t very nice, mind you – and refreshed the page and it let me checkout no problems.
Last time I used Gilt City the code wouldn’t work on the subscription box site so I had to argue with Gilt City (3 people) and with the sub box’s website – both sides blamed the issue on each other of course.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH LITTLE LACE BOX:
As for Little Lace Box, their customer service is awful. I left them a negative review on one of their boxes (the theme was morning and it was all spa stuff so I said it didn’t relate to the theme). As well my box has something missing and customer service said they’d replace it within the next few days. A weeks later I hadn’t gotten anything so I emailed again and they said they chose to refund it instead. No one told me until I asked? And they didn’t refund me until after I asked. Customer service accused me of lying in my review and say “we can cancel your account for you, just tell us what you want.” I told them I didn’t appreciate them making assumptions.
I love their Serendipity Box (been subbed to that since early this year) but last month they just decided to not have one because they had an issue with their vendors so they refunded people – but of course I didn’t see a refund until I emailed asking when to expect one. They also had a vendor issue with October’s Little Lace Box so it didn’t ship until November.
I hate that I love their products because their service team is awful.

I should have known better after all the issues with Little Lace Box last year. I’ve always resisted ordering, but this deal was too good…obviously, it’s going to be a headache, as I’m also getting that error. Unsurprising with their history.

It says in a couple of places that this is for new customers only. Little lace box has my address on file I’m sure (as well any past subscriber) – so I don’t see how of us past subscribers can legitimately get this deal.

You would most likely need to start up a new account, using a different email address. I’ve done this with numerous subs when they’ve offered promotions that were for new subscribers. You wouldn’t be able to add on to your current account, so if you have a long-term sub already you would likely run the risk of getting duplicate boxes (depending on how long your sub is/what the fine print is for when you need to start the new sub.)

They have my physical address – so they know I’m not a new customer. I would like to do it but they could end up not allowing it and I’d probably have to have it reversed back as a Gilt credit.

If you haven’t used Gilt City before, I used code HELLO20 and got an additional 20% off which came to $79.20

Once we buy the certificate how do we use it?

I haven’t purchased this deal (yet), but with all their sales, Gilt will send you a voucher with a code that you will enter on the merchant’s site when you check out.

If we get this deal, will December be our first box?
Reply
Zo
It says February will be first box if you sign up before January 1.

Hey are you sure? Where is that advertised? I’m only seeing details about the mystery welcome box as the first one under the 6 month deal. I would like to start with the February box.
Paige
Thank you! That December box looked great, but I will be ok looking forward to February.

I thought that if you already had an account with them they will not accept a new account deal. I’d love to buy this but not knowing if I can actually use it I’m hesitant. If I recall, they cancelled others that tried to use coupons more than once.

This is such a great deal! I wish I wasn’t all gifted-out or I’d buy one. Plus you get a $20 gift card to their shop! I hope they fix the code issue soon.

I got invalid code message too – contacted gilt city and their customer service online was unable to help from her side so it got bumped to higher level of food chain. I was told to wait for response (2-5 days). Very nice but issue is not resolved, so I’m not too happy I have to now add this to my calendar as a follow up.

I got that too. No help from Gilt so I contacted LLB. She was very helpful and fixed it so I could get the orders in for my daughters.

I did chat as well and got a similar answer – need to escalate to the Gilt City Team and they should email me in 72 hours.

Exactly. I don’t have time to now deal with this. If they were going to offer this there should be no errors

How did you contact them? I only have the option for email and phone. I would much prefer chat.

Nevermind….I figured it out!

Has anyone tried to redeem their voucher yet? I went through the link in the email and added a 6 month sub and items from the shop and when I try to check out am getting the following error message “Unable to find a valid discount matching the code entered.” Guess I’m doing something wrong?

Tonya
You’re not doing it wrong – I’m having the same problem. Sigh.

Gilt City says it is for new customers only. Maybe that’s why it won’t work for.you?
SMZ
Does this work as an add on if you already have a subscription?
Reply
Suzanne
If you go to the Gilt City link, it says new customers only. However, it doesn’t have be used until March, so maybe that works out for your subscription timing?

Thank you!

I think the title is incorrect. Shouldn’t it read $26.40? Or else what am I missing to bring the price down to $24.60?

Oh, this is very, very tempting. I already have two Gilt City accounts. I might need to set one up for my husband. : )
