Now, onto the items!

Amorium New York Bar Stud Earrings - Value $45

little-lace-box-december-2016-0014

Subscribers will receive these earrings in gold, rose gold, or silver, with white or black CZ stones. (If you indicated you don't wear earrings on your style profile, you'll receive an Amorium bracelet instead.)

little-lace-box-december-2016-0015

These earrings measure about a half inch in length and have a lot of sparkle for such small studs:

I really like that you get just a hint of the rose gold metal with these - so subtle and chic!

little-lace-box-december-2016-0023-1

Shiraleah Scarf - Value $30

(The card lists the value as $30, but the site lists this scarf for $38.)

Subscribers will receive this scarf in either Ivory, Blush, or Powder. I really like the pale blue scarf color I received. Looking at this picture now, though, I'm thinking it will go best with a white or light grey coat!

It's a chunky, soft knit, infinity scarf/snood. (It's long enough to wrap around once.) It's cozy and it will definitely keep you warm!

Dear Rain Waterproof Purse Poncho - Value $20

little-lace-box-december-2016-0011

This poncho if for your purse! It completely covers your purse with slots for the handles:

little-lace-box-december-2016-0012

And you can use the marker to customize it! Admittedly, I don't have a name brand handbag to write in, (i.e. Not my Birkin!), but it's a cute idea.

little-lace-box-december-2016-0009

Cozy Slipper Socks - Value $14

little-lace-box-december-2016-0007

These slipper socks have grippy dots on the bottom, and a fuzzy lining making them super cozy! At first glance, I thought they looked small for my size 9 feet, but they have a lot of stretch to them and fit well!

little-lace-box-december-2016-0017

Meo Multipack Charger Labels - Value $13

little-lace-box-december-2016-0018

This is one of those items I didn't know I needed until it was in front of me. If you have ever gotten your chargers mixed up with someone else's at the office, this is perfect for making sure no one accidentally takes yours!

little-lace-box-december-2016-0019

And this box also included coupon codes for 20% off Meo, Dear Rain, and Francesca's:

Verdict: This Little Lace Box has a value of about $122! I thought the December box was a great mix of practical and special items. And I appreciate that the jewelry selection was somewhat customized to your preferences.

So I just got my box (my first) and I have to say I am extremely disappointed. Literally nothing is my taste. I wish I would have looked at what the spoilers were ahead of time because then I could have at least prepared myself. The only thing I kind of like are the socks (I got a pretty oatmeal color.) I also got the purse poncho (will never use,) the snood in powder (not bad but not a color I will wear,) charger labels in a rainbow color (I do like them over some of the other options but again, not really my thing,) and instead of earrings I got a bracelet with a gold and cubic zirconia bar with pink string (truly could not be less my taste, I strongly dislike both pink and gold, would have rather had the earrings and I don’t even wear earrings.) I got a year deal for around $30 a box but I wish I would have never signed up. I’m not knocking it it’s just personally not my taste. Hopefully I will be able to swap everything.

I signed up in nov. so December was my first box and it was a bunch of leftovers from previous boxes I didn’t get one thing from this post. Weird?
I got

*Flight patterns Canvas Bag
*Tibetan Goji Berry Eye Serum
*Bellapierre Diamond Body Butter
*Natural sponge
*blue fingerless gloves with button accent

So weird. Wonder if I’m getting leftovers because I signed up with the discount?

Received my box yesterday and I am once again very happy with the options I was sent. I received the cream scarf, grey slippers, rose gold with white cz stone earrings, black/red/silver stickers, and the bag cover. The only thing I will not use is the bag cover. It rains a lot here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, but I am usually very careful not to have my really good bags out on bad weather days. I love the idea, but will pass it on.

Once again another great box from Little Lace Box.

I’m so surprised people don’t like this box- I think its one of my favorite LLB boxes ever, and I’ve been a subscriber for over a year! I found everything practical and most things I can see myself actually using!
I am OBSESSED with the grey slippers- I wear slippers like these nonstop during the cooler ones and I was so excited to get another pair. I also love the scarf- I have it in the color powder blue and its such a great color, and so so so soft! The scarf is one of those items that I never would have bought for myself, but now that I have it I can’t wait to wear it out.
I have the earrings in rose gold and while they are pretty, they’re not quite my style. Unsure if I will keep them or regift them.
Personally the only item that I didn’t like and don’t see myself every using is the purse poncho. But overall I think LLB did a good job this time around!

I may be in the minority here but I’m not THAT disappointed with my box. I got the blush snood (which is awesome, totally my style and love the color) the rose gold earrings (another hit for me as I love anything rose gold) and the grey slippers. My stickers were red and gold with a crown and the phrase “keep calm and charge on” or something to that effect. I won’t use the purse poncho but will try and swap it. Overall, I’m excited.

It looks like I’m not alone here. I used a Black Friday code and instead of receiving this awesome looking December box I got a box of left over junk- lip gloss, socks, anti-wrinkle serum, cards, body butter, and an ugly canvas tote. Not worth $40 or even $20. When addressing my concerns with a customer service rep they said I would have to pay to ship it back and pay a 10% restocking fee in order to get a partial refund. BEWARE- do not buy!! In my history of working in customer service, you try to make customers happy. This is really not their concern and the products aren’t worth the cost.

I think it was made pretty clear that you would be getting a mystery box and not a December box in the print. (Repeatedly) I really think people need to pay attention to what they are purchasing instead of automatically blaming the company because they did not bother to read what they were actually ordering.

I also received a box of leftovers. I am SO disappointed because I was planning on using the winter box items for Christmas gifts. Instead I got the eye cream, body butter, nail polish, and a drawstring travel bag. I did not see anything about a welcome box instead of the winter box.

Brittany

I’m surprised so many fellow sub addicts are hating on this box! I loved everything except the weird purse rain tote… I received the ivory scarf, gold earrings, and super cute stickers. The slipper socks are so comfy too!

Reply ButtonReply

SMZ

I have to say the slippers are amazingly cozy! They are my new favorite pair.

This was my first LLB and I’m not as impressed as I’d hoped. I received the earrings in silver and will wear them and the slippers. I have an Iphone and Ipad so I may use the stickers. The purse cover is different but I probably wouldn’t even remember to use it…LOL. I may try another one of these boxes since I’m interested in what Feb will be.

Disappointed in this as my first llb box. Of course sub boxes are a gamble, but compared to the last two boxes they had (which i love), this seems to fall short. I imagine i will be able to cut the charger stickers to size. The earrings are not my style, the scarf looks a little homemade (unprofessionally made) and the plastic bag for your purse is……. Silliness. Oh well, it was a gamble. And the slippers… How any of this fits the theme is beyond me.

Reply ButtonReply

Su

I am so very disappointed in this box. They have done some nice themed boxes in the past with unique, curated items. I am hoping the next box is much better. The earrings are nice but the rest is just unattractive items that would be hard to give away.

Reply ButtonReply

Lily.Bell5280

I got the Ivory snood, which seems to have some fluffy faux fur that the blush and powder snoods don’t have. I can’t find it on the retailer website, but one side is large knit and the other is faux fur similar to what’s in the slippers.

Anyone want to trade snoods? I’d take either Blush or Powder.

Received my LLB “Welcome Box” this morning. Small box.
Contents:
p. press arrow note cards – Feb 2015
Passport to Beauty Tigetan Goji Berry Eye Serum – December 2015
Eco-Friendly Travel Laundry Bag by Vine Street Markets – April 2016
Bellapierre Precious Diamonds Body Butter – April 2016
Ivory socks from Boot Cuffs and Socks – Serendipity September 2016 box

The value is there, yes, but the only thing I love is the socks. I knew I was signing up for a mystery box as the first box so I can’t complain, but I was underwhelmed.

Reply ButtonReply

Taren

Mine had those items and also a lipgloss. OFRA in Bordeaux, A deep burgundy with a bit of shimmer. Wasn’t sure what to expect but everything seemed pretty nice.

Reply ButtonReply

Michele

I received the exact same items and I feel the same way. Def value, but no wow factor for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Helen

Oh shoot! I was about to pounce and ask if you’re swapping the socks. I’m glad you like them at least. 😊

I received my BTBF one time purchase box. It isn’t worth the $40 i paid. I received:
*Mint Green Socks
*Note Cards and Envelopes
*Flight patterns Canvas Bag
*Tibetan Goji Berry Eye Serum
*Bellapierre Diamond Body Butter

The eye serum is nice and the body butter is ok but the rest I don’t like. I will not be subscribing.

This is a disappointing box for me. The scarf and rain poncho for my bag won’t be used (going into our fifth year of drought in southern California), and I have an android phone and a kindle, so the stickers aren’t much fun. This box used to be amazing, but now the specific items (pajama bottoms that don’t fit? Lavender linen wash?) , seem to always be specifically for someone other than me! I have the grandfathered in price, but still, I could be saving that money to use on something else. Usually I can give the things I don’t want as gifts, but that purse poncho is a total dud where I live.

Reply ButtonReply

Tonya

I am in the same boat too Becky. I was super disappointed with this box, whereas usually the items aren’t something I necessarily want, but are super useful and I do wind up using and love. Probably the only use I’ll get out of this box are the slippers (should they fit). And I don’t know a single person who’d use any of the other castoffs, unfortunately. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

Hope I get the rose gold, it’s the color I’ve asked for this year! I like everything in the box, hoping the rain cover will fit over my knitting tote, I’ll def use it if it does, (seems more polite to pull out knitting than phone games when bored, I always say it’s a charity project). I’ll try the stickers, maybe I’ve always needed them and just didn’t know, Slippers I may keep, or regift, depends on the color I get. Love LLB!

lily.bell5280

My scarf is ivory, but it doesn’t look like the one pictured here. It has “fluff” similar to the booties on one side of the infinity loop and knit on the other. Tried to find a link on Shiraleah but it’s not there. Anyone want to trade for the powder or blush?

First and last LLB.

Sheri H.

I received the rose gold black sparkle earrings and I love them. I received the gray slipper socks and I have always had the coldest feet ever even in FL–I now live in SC, but still cold feet no matter where I live! I love them. They are so soft and I just had my cast removed from having surgery-a plate and nine screws put in from a broken ankle and they really are heavenly on. I have an iPhone but I don’t really need stickers for them and I have a thick leather purse from Love41 and it-yes the purse, would smack me if I put a rain poncho on it, lol. I also received the blush snood…I have never owned a snood before and I am almost fifty. It is soft…I have to keep looking at Liz’s picture to find out how to wear it, ha. Well, LLB is due in February and I can’t wait to see what they do for the month of love. I do feel they were trying to do something different. Other boxes did throws and candles-I have both the PopSugar limited edition woman’s box–I have slept with that throw literally since I took it out of the box and put out the diffuser in my foyer-love the sweet peppermint and vanilla and my daughter snagged my Happy Rebel throw-beautiful and soft and I have the Silver Zebra candle in my bedroom with its wonderful scent. I think I was just hoping that LLB would make it a little more cohesive and festive.

I really like this box! Since lately its either been 28 degrees or 78 in NC I can finally put scarves and nice cozy socks to good use. I will use everything and I think the scarf is cute. The rain bag is something I will definitely get use out of as it’s my fear with all my designer bags. I hope it fits most of them lol Kinda hoping I got a bracelet just because I have ear allergies but the studs would be easy to gift as well. I think this stuff is cute and very gift able if you don’t like it too.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

sounds like I’m in the minority but I like this box 🙂 $12 per item seems reasonable to me, and I would totally use all those items. But, it doesn’t make sense to send out stickers that half or more of subscribers won’t have any use for, as so many people don’t have Apple computers. They are cute thought.

Reply ButtonReply

shoppeaholik

I am totally with you, Jen! I love everything cozy, especially since the cold has arrived! Still waiting on my box but could not resist the spoilers. I think I can use everything, even the bag rain coat, although I have to say that is completely nothing I have looked for…until I grumble as I walk into my office as I get my leather computer bag rained on…

I received my box today and I love the scarf (I received a cream one), and the fuzzy socks (received black and gray but will be scouring swap to pick up extras of burgundy). Thrilled by the earrings – rose gold with black CZ. Love them!! I am meh on the purse poncho (seriously – I would be embarrassed to use that) and the stickers.

Reply ButtonReply

Marcia

Sort of disappointed with the contents of this box. However, the earrings are lovely in person so I am giving those and the comfy socks to my daughter. The stickers, emergency rain poncho and probably the scarf will be donated to charity. Definitely not a holiday theme, but also not a “fun” themed box for any season.
I subscribe to LLB Serendipity and I’ve really liked that in the past. I’m hoping that stays on track.

I’d love to swap for the stickers!

Reply ButtonReply

Who carries a bag so fabulously expensive that it must wear a poncho when it rains? If you do, then what are you doing here with us riff-raff? Srsly.
Having said that, I wouldn’t mind swapping for the iPhone stickers. Link below.

I also think the bag cover is a neat idea. I can remember running from my car with my LV under my jacket to protect it from the rain. The LV leather turns dark when hit with rain and why ruin it when you don’t have to? I must be in the exclusive club too then huh? LOL I have an LV that is turning 40 next year!

Reply ButtonReply

EC

I own a number of pricier brand bags ranging from Chanel to LV and I’m a sub box addict. I have quite a few friends who do both as well. I didn’t realize they were mutually exclusive? Nothing wrong with a good investment piece or two considering I’m still carrying my first LV from 1997. I rather thought the cover bag included was cute if not ingenious though I live in the desert and have little need for it here.

Memphismom

Well, maybe i’m in the minority here. I received my box today and I’m so over the moon excited. My scarf hangs so beautifully. It seems to be a slightly different style than the one in the review photo. I received a pale blush color with larger crochet loops. Gorgeous and so snuggly warm. The earrings (gold with clear diamond sparkles) are so much prettier in person. I usually do not wear smaller earrings and I am obsessed with these. My husband loves both the scarf and the earrings together as I immediately wore them. To answer your question, I must be the mystery person who would consider placing a rain poncho on my handbag in heavy rain. I carry a few Prada’s with extremely soft leather and will keep the purse poncho in my car for rainy days. Disclaimer: I would never in a million years seek it out or purchase it with intent, but now that I have it, yes, I can definitely see that it has a logical use. The slippers are truly heavenly. The padding is so thick around the ball and toes. And, there’s non-skid application for hardwood or slick floors/stairs. And, as nerdy as they seem at first consideration, I love the little stickers for my gadgets. I am very sure you could apply them to absolutely any brand to differentiate yours from another member of your family’s or if you are somewhere away from home. These are cute and I will definitely be using them. Our son and his friends have a tendency to “get confused” as to who’s power cord and remote control units they are packing up to take home since they all look similar. At any rate, I love love love the quality and fun that comes in these boxes. It’s my very favorite right now of all my boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Tamara

I got my box today and I do like it more in person. I received the scarf in a cream color and I think it works much better in that color than powder blue. The slippers (I got a burgundy color) are seriously soft on the inside. Too bad I live in Florida and, even after twenty years here, I have yet to adjust to the heat and will therefore get little to no use out of them.

I got the rose gold white stone earrings and, while I think they’re pretty, they’re to dainty for me.

I’m annoyed that they sent Apple products to everyone. At LEAST half of the marketshare is Android-based products so assuming that everyone uses Apple products has become a pet peeve for me.

I signed up for the deal they had back in early October and I practically begged them to start my sub with the October box. Alas, they weren’t able to. I would have much preferred that box, so I’m a little extra bummed about that now.

Tl;dr:
1. better in person
2. Android>Apple
3. October>December
4. ::pout::

Reply ButtonReply

Charlie

I agree! I really loved the October box. My sub started this month unfortunately. Disappointed with this month but maybe that means February will be great.

Reply ButtonReply

D.

Is it just me or do the themes rarely seem to have anything at all to do with the actual contents of the box? I am really having a hard time seeing Dr. Seuss in any of these items :/ Not blown away with this box as it stands but maybe I will feel differently once I have it in hand. Here’s hoping!

Reply ButtonReply

Makenzie

Do you think the phone stickers would work for a Samsung charger? I don’t have an iPhone or Mac but I really like the stickers 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Katherine

There was one page of stickers that go on the large and small plug in parts of a charger cord so I can use that one with my phone, but all the others in the pack will not work for me. I wish my pack was cute like Liz’s. Mine has images of a skier on them.

Reply ButtonReply

CJ

I got the skiers too and was so bummed! Cute patterns seem far more universally appealing that pictures of skiers.
