This Little Passports Early Explorers Package was devoted to coins from around the world.
My son’s favorite part of Little Passports Early Explorers each month is the passport. He loves working on the pages independently. There are mazes, coloring pages, and other fun things to do. This month not only were there puzzles as usual but also some craft pages with step-by-step instructions.
This package included some trading cards on three different coins from Uganda, Singapore, and Denmark. I think doubling the number of trading cards would be a nice idea.
Max and Mia mail a postcard each month and normally it shows a place they are visiting. This month is was of different coins.
Little Passports Early Explorers always sends along a little extra toy or craft each month. This month they sent a zippered coin pouch with Toby the dog printed on it. They also sent a Little Passports Toby play coin. My son liked the little pouch and coin as well.
Each package contains a cardboard flashlight that you pop out and slide between a transparent sheet and cardboard backing. As you slip the flashlight around it highlights different coins that Max and Mia want to show you. My son looks forward to the flashlight activity each month.
The first month of Little Passports Early Explorers came with a suitcase. Every month thereafter they include a luggage tag to hang on the suitcase handle, a sticker to add to decorate the suitcase and a few assorted stickers based on the theme which are placed on a world map (also included in the very first shipment).
Verdict: We enjoyed our Little Passports Early Explorers package this month, but it wasn’t our favorite shipment. The coins theme just didn’t excite my son as much as some of the themes from past shipments. However overall we have found this subscription to be both fun and educational at a great price point.
