This month's theme is A Day of Thanksgiving. From My Texas Market:
We're rounding out our fall celebration extravaganza with a box inspired by one of our favorite holidays. As the days get shorter and the weather gets cooler, we hope you will enjoy this time of family, fun, and feasting. Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.
My Texas Market always includes an info card with details about the items included in the box. This month, there were 5 items included, and they gave a little background about the artisans and the items.
Benjamin Soap Co. Pumpkin Spice Candle - Value $18.00?
One of the things that I really love about My Texas Market, is that they send items from the same artisans but they rarely duplicate items. I love this because we get to see a range of products from the same companies! Benjamin Soap Co. has been included in several boxes, but I think this might be one of my favorite inclusions ever. It smells amazing!
Garden Dreams Houston Cranopeno Jelly - Value $5.00?
Now this product is a repeat but it was a whole year ago that we received it (I think). Anyway, this was a welcome repeat because it is outstanding. I love the sweet heat and the super short ingredient list!
Fortitude Provisions Autumn Kindling - Value $4.50
This scent has notes of orange, cedar wood, patchouli, and 'campfire embers.' I really the blend of scents used here. A little goes a long way!
Pecan Shop Apple Pie Pecans - Value $9.00
These pecans are flavored with apples, wild honey, and cinnamon to give them the flavor of apple pie. They are locally grown in Houston, certified pesticide-free, and raw and unpasteurized. I loved the flavor of these but since pecans aren't my favorite - I'll pass these along to a friend.
Stellar Gourmet Freshly Cracked Mulling Spice - Value $5.00?
This mulling spice mix has a mixture of aromatic spices to boil with your favorite apple juice/cider to make a comforting, delicious drink.
I really liked the flavor that these spices imparted to the apple juice - I made my own caramel apple spice drink (like Starbucks), by adding some caramel sauce and whipped cream to the top!
The Gratitude Bag - Value?
The card on this bag says:
Sometimes we forget how good we really have it. As we move toward the holiday season, we challenge you to use the Gratitude Bag to keep life in perspective. Each day, write something you are thankful for on a piece of paper and put it in the bag. On Thanksgiving, or New Year's, or when you're going through a difficult time, take the papers out and remind yourself of the blessings in your life. Challenge someone to do the same!
Subscribers that were around last November received one of these last year - but I love the idea and think that I can't be grateful enough for the many blessings I've been given throughout the year.
Verdict: This My Texas Market box has an estimated value of $41.50, which is on par with the value they promise each month. My Texas Market promises that they will at least give you $35.00 worth of goodies each month, to meet the cost of the box. I loved the range of goodies this month and the gratitude bag was an added bonus.
