Oui Please is a subscription box that brings you the best of France every other month. In every box you can expect a mix of beauty, jewelry, fashion, home, and food items.

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0002

Important to know - not all boxes are the same. This is a subscription that sends variations out.

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0003

The packaging is gorgeous and I’ve been reusing the inner boxes for storage.

The box comes with a mini mag – it details all the different products you might have received in your box. (There are a variety of product combinations each subscriber will receive).

This magazine is great for finding items you wished you had received! (At least there are swaps!)

Now, onto the items!

Padam Padam Paris Amour Gold Bracelet - Retail Value $40

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0025

This is a really unique jewelry item!

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0024

I expected it to be metal wire based on the mini magazine, but it's actually some sort of plastic on wire material. That's OK, though, because I imagine that makes it more comfortable to wear. Here it is on:

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0035

And the material is super flexible, too. So you can make it form to your wrist exactly as you want it to.

La French Pique Pochette - Retail Value $85

This interesting outer bag reveals the main event... this clutch:

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0015

This pouch is made from 100% recycled cotton using crocheted techniques. The end result is this totally unique piece:

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0016

There is a lot of weight to this clutch! I really like the pop of neon - and I definitely don't have anything like it!

Here is a picture to give you a better sense of scale:

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0036

It measures about 8 by 10 inches.

BarineHome Turkish Towel - Value $40?

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0013

This is a lovely Turkish towel, but it is definitely NOT a poncho, and that's what Oui Please revealed as a guaranteed spoiler item in this box.

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0012

It's an oversized towel (41 inches wide) and made from 100% cotton. I love the classic colors and design, and I'll likely use this more than I would a poncho, so this switch worked out OK for me, but it still feels misleading.

Fifth Sense Lingerie Set:

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0033

This set includes:

Cheeky Brief - Value $55

Night Mask - Value $25

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0034

These are both high-quality pieces. I love the lace detail on the waistband, and the sleep mask is very comfortable. My only issue with this set? It's a sized item, and I don't think I ever gave size info in my account to Oui Please. Fortunately, this size worked for me.

Maison Louis Marie No. 9  - Value $85

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0030

This perfume bottle is gorgeous! This scent is described as a woody, mineral fragrance. The top note is a citrus accord of grapefruit, orange, and black pepper enhanced by cedar wood and patchouli. (Plus I love the minimalist box packaging, too. This perfume feels so luxe.)

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0028

Confiture Parisienne Carotte Passion - Value $10

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0029

Carrot jam! I did not know this was a thing! It was very tasty after I got used the grainy texture - it's sweet like any other typical jam.

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0017

Le Nougat de Paris - Value $20

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0019

These nougat squares are made with pistachios and almonds - and they were a hit with everyone who tried them!

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0018

Oui Please usually does a great job with their food items, and these two were definitely a success at our house!

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0026

Nuxe Reve de Miel - Value $15

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0027

This lip balm formula is lovely and perfect for anyone who wants a lip product that doesn't adds shine. It has a sweet citrus flavor, and the formula is super moisturizing.

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0020

POPUP Paris Limited Edition Love Candle - Value $40

oui-please-volume-2-4-2016-0021

This candle design is so cute! The scent is a floral blend with rose, and it has a burn time of 40 hours.

Verdict: This box has an estimated retail value of $415. (I'm using Oui Please provided retail values for some of that estimate.) I signed up with a discount for an annual subscription, so this box only cost me about $76. I think that value is amazing, and I love the types of items Oui Please sends (especially the home items!)

Curious if anyone has had a positive result with customer service after reading these reviews. I was just about to pull the trigger and subscribe, but got scared off by reading about the issues everyone seemed to have lately, and the poor customer service. Thanks!

Anyone know what’s going on with the December box? My “order was placed” around December 12th. I have a prepaid year subscription so that’s not when I did anything, that’s the day they sent me an email stating my order had been placed.

Vanessa

Ok so I got confused I guess and the next box is in January

Kali Marie

Liz, what about the other items that were supposed to be included in all the boxes? On the spoiler I see Mirl de Paris and secrets de miel were supposed to be in all boxes.

I can’t even begin to describe how awfully bad this subscription was I had it for over a year they forgot to send a whole box and I had to be the one to say something. And the pinnacle was this last box it was the worst, misleading, bait and switch tactics. I would highly recommend not subscribing to this box. I’m an avid subscriber to Luxor, Popsugar, Bespoke, to name a few and although they have ups in down Oui please is the most unpredictable unprofessional box I have ever experienced. I really think they pull the nicest boxes to send to Liz and that’s really an unfair example of what most of us get. Thanks Liz for the review.

Amy

I would say predictably unprofessional

This was the most disappointing box I have ever received. Very sorry to post this. I am a box addict so I can easily compare from boxes I’ve received in the past, value vs. content vs. $$. I did not get anywhere as many things in my box. The fragrance smelled of licorice and celery. Overpriced!! But I did like the honey nougat, I gave everything else away. Never again. I’d rather put my money towards popsugar limited boxes.

I still have no response after several emails, messages on Facebook and comments on Instagram. No trace what so ever of my 2.4 box. I have tried to call the phone number that appears with the charge on my credit card and that is not a working number either.
I am glad they changed their policy to not auto renew the memberships because i am NOT giving them my money another year!

Same here! When I had questions about subscribing for a year, they answered my email the same day. I received the 2.3 box a few weeks after everyone (I’m from Montreal, 🇨🇦) so I was expecting a little delay for the October box.
Now, after numerous emails — and NO answer or any kind of reply whatsoever– I still doesn’t know what is happening with my 2.4 box. What an awful and unprofessional way to treat their customers. Once that I’ve paid for a yearly subscription, its seems they just don’t care, to say the least. Very frustrating and disappointing!

do you have an update yet? i don’t, no sign of box 2.4

I’ve tried everything too Diana…there are a few of us with no box at all and no resolution.

I’m so happy when other subscribers get great boxes, but the variations with Oui Please are SOOOOOO out of hand I think it causes a lot of angst. My box had 6 items: the amore bracelet, the “poncho”, the noughat, the perfume, the night mask/underwear set and a lip scrub. No clutch, no candle, no nuxe, no carrot jam. If Oui Please wants to offer variations (which I’m not opposed to at all – I think it’s fun to learn what everyone else received), I just wish they would try a little harder to make the retail values a little closer…in this box they replaced the lip scrub from my box with 4 items worth $150…yikes!!!

I’m still a fan of a Oui Please but my version of this particular box fell a little flat for me. Except for the nougat…that was tasty!!

If anyone would like to trade their Cassis (please please) or Kandili (please) for my Vallee de Farney, I’ve got mine listed on the swap site! Or if you’re not on the swap site, let me know via here and I’ll work with you! Patchouli just doesn’t sit well with me and Cassis especially sounds much more like my cup of tea.

...

I really liked what I got in 2.4, but I haven’t seen anybody get variations as good as this. Blogger box for sure!

Now if I could get that same deal, I’d think about it! I’ve signed up for email notifications, though the problems noted also give me pause!

Those Popup Paris candles are AMAZING! Double check it after you burn it because 1 in 50 has a diamond in it! I believe the love edition would have a heart shaped diamond if you’re the lucky one!!!

Now that Liz has her box, maybe they’ll send mine too. So many emails….two failed tracking numbers later…a reply to every third or fourth email I send…this has really been a lot of stress. I so wish I was not locked into a year.

Liz, they shorted you another ‘guaranteed’ item: the Secrets de Miel beauty product.

Everyone was promised three ‘miel/honey’ products: one is the Nuxe lip balm, one is a Miel de Paris food product (yours was the Nougat), and one is a Secrets de Miel beauty product.

They did, but she got a couple more items than most boxes had, like the candle and the pouch.

Lauren

I too received a box that I really liked most of but that was far below the value of the box shown here.

Elise

Great review! I’ve been seeing a lot of that bracelet on the swap site and I really like it now that i see it on you! That carrot jam sounds so intriguing too

I keep looking at the reviews for this box because everything is so pretty, and then checking the price and sighing. I have difficulty rolling with the retail values of items when they are talking $40 for a little candle and $55 underwear.

Reply ButtonReply

nelliebelle1197

Those are the actual retail prices. Someone on the forum usually checks the manufacturer. Oui Please does not tend to inflate retail.

Reply ButtonReply

Erica

I really want this box. 🙁

I have a few things from this box available on swap: the bracelet, SkinHaptics Massage Oil, Elissance eyeshadow palette, honey, and socks.

Heidi

The boxes arrived a month ago. I had an item leak all over the inside of my box. I immediately notified Oui Please, which promised to send out a replacement the next day. Still no replacement box. I am so over them. And the retail value on my ruined box was far, far lower than yours. I think just above the promised value.

Reply ButtonReply

Leah

I don’t know if this will give you hope or frustrate you, but I received my replacement items like three days after I contacted them. I was blown away. Their customer service seems to be so hit and miss, but hopefully they’ll get their acts together for you soon!

Stacie

You’re lucky – I’ve been waiting since Thanksgiving for my replacement (no tracking or anything). I haven’t followed up, but I likely will soon.

Angela Trupo

I am in the same boat. They sent a replacement box shipping email that still says it is in transit to the destination (since 11/4!) and last week they said they located it and I would get an updated shipping email. Still nothing.

Heidi

Now that I re-read my comment, it may have come off sounding snarky and directed at you, Liz, which was not my intent at all!!!

Liz Cadman

It wasn’t at all! Sorry to hear that you haven’t received your replacement box yet. 🙁

Leah

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Been waiting for this review! I love how you made that silly bracelet look good 🙂

Although nothing in this box is my style, everything is absolutely beautiful. It is one of the most gorgeous curated boxes that I’ve seen so far.
