Domaine du Terme Vacqueyras 2014

This wine hails from the Rhone Valley in France. It’s made by a father and daughter team and is grown sustainably without any chemical pesticides or herbicides. I found this red bright and delicious. We drank this bottle while we cooked dinner with my parents. We all enjoyed the fruity notes.

Chateau de la Liquiere Faugeres Vieilles Vignes 2014

This blend is also from France and is a mix of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Mourvedre. This wine felt so rich and luscious. It was mellow and had a wonderful finish. We paired it with mashed potatoes, bacon-wrapped thyme meatloaf, creamed spinach and cucumber salad.

Verdict: With the weather turning cool here we switched our subscription to two bottles of red. This was another great month from Plonk! We fully enjoyed both bottles. I’d like to note that if you fall in love with one of the wines they send you can order an entire case at a 16% discount with free shipping. If you appreciate being introduced to new wine from wineries with organic growing practices this is a nice subscription to try out.
