Opening this box was fun for my son. The box itself has designs inside, perfect for the coloring he loves to do. There was a welcome booklet personalized with simple directions for returning unwanted items. Each box comes with a price sheet listing each item of clothing and price. Rockets of Awesome designs and manufactures their own independent line of clothing (sizing available in 2-14).
We Are Awesome Tee – Price to keep: $20
My son liked this beet colored shirt a lot. He thought it was very cool that it said 'we are awesome'. It fit well and was made of soft cotton.
Knit Jogger - Price to keep: $22
My son loves knit joggers and calls them “softies”. These were very lightweight. While they won’t be warm enough for very cold days they perfect for the days we’ve been having in the 50s. The neutral gray heather color matches everything.
Racer Stripe Tee - Price to keep: $20
Out of all the shirts in this box, this one was the only my son didn’t care for. He didn’t love the color, but he said it was comfortable.
Chino - Price to keep: $26.00
I love these bright blue chino pants. The cotton is soft and great mid-weight for all seasons. They are a nice fit and my son liked them too!
Football Tee - Price to keep: $20.00
While my son typically prefers shirts with a quirky picture or saying he liked this one. He’s already worn it twice and it’s washing and wearing well.
Colorblock Hoodie - Price to keep: $28.00
This deep blue colorblocked hoodie is thick and warm. My son has been wearing this around the house since we received the box.
NY Giants Ball Cap - Price to keep: $20.00
We are huge NY Giants fans in this house so this hat was perfect for my son. My husband has almost the exact same hat from FanChest and now they like to wear them together to be twins! It’s adjustable and will grow right along with my son.
Skinny Jean - Price to keep: $26.00
These jeans are a nice dark black which makes them feel a bit dressier than a typical blue jean. The fit is skinny, but not too skinny that my son finds them restrictive.
Flannel Button Down - Price to keep: $28.00
I’m glad to see a button down shirt included in the box. It’s a soft, casual flannel in a cozy plaid. It’s a little dressier than a tee, but by no means formal or stiff.
Pizza Rocket Tee - Price to keep: $22.00
This shirt is amazing! My son loves it so much and so do I. He loves things that are space-related and pizza is his favorite food making this shirt an ideal combination. It’s a soft cotton knit like all of the tees sent this month.
Colorblock Knit Jogger - Price to keep: $24.00
These joggers were a much heavier knit than the gray joggers. He will be living in these all winter long. While he has a lot of gray pants, he doesn’t have any in this beautiful heather shade of blue. These were a big hit!
Lightning Bolt Sweater - Price to keep: $28.00
I’m so happy to see a sweater included in the box because winters here in NJ are very cold. This gray sweater has cool lightning bolts down the sleeve which my son thinks are cool. I like the soft feel of it and the fact that it’s not itchy at all. I think the price is great too.
I had to show a photo of the printed tags Rockets of Awesome uses on their shirts. These are itch free and hysterical to boot!
Here’s my son in the green tee and black skinny jeans.
Here are the NY Giants hat, football tee and blue chinos (which perfectly match the blue stripe on the tee).
Here’s my son in the black skinny jeans again and the flannel.
Here are the gray joggers and his favorite pizza shirt.
Here are the thick blue joggers and awesome tee.
This is my son wearing the lightning bolt sweater and blue chinos.
My son snuggled up in his hoodie and soft gray joggers.
Verdict: We had a lot of fun unpacking and modeling our Rockets of Awesome box. Rockets of Awesome sends boxes four times a year, but you can skip a box if you prefer to get them less frequently. Shipping back the items you choose not to keep is made simple with their pre-paid return label. Based on the colors I had mentioned my son likes when I initially signed up I felt they sent us items that were a perfect match for his casual style. Everything is very well made too. I recommend this box for anyone who wants unique, quality clothing and doesn’t have a lot of extra time to go clothes shopping for the little boy in their life.
