Nerdy Post is a monthly celebration of your favorite fandoms from TV, movies, and books. Every month, you'll get 5-7 handcrafted items centered around a different monthly fandom. The box isn't very flashy, but what's inside is so much fun. Nerdy Post also offers a Nerdy Tees option.

Everything you get in Nerdy Post is handmade by Alexis, Nerdy Post's creator. Here's what their site says:

"...we wanted to provide unique, high-quality designs that you wouldn't find anywhere else. Hand lettering and illustrating these designs means that nothing is created using fonts or stock images from a computer. Designs are of course digitized in order to be printed on the products, but they will retain their hand-crafted quality."

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This review is of the Nerdy Post, $13.95 a month, box.

Every box has a theme, typically centered around a fandom. This month's theme is "Star Wars"! I just watched the newest Star Wars movie, so I'm in the perfect mood for these awesome items. This print appears on the back of the info card. It's going on my fridge for SURE.

As an amateur artist myself, I always appreciate when Alexis, the creator of this box, shares a bit about her process, as she does here.

Qui-Gon Jinn Quote Poster

This Qui-Gon Jinn quote, like many things in Star Wars, is as resonant in real life as it is in the film.

I love the visible brushstrokes and the way that the paint splatters mingle with the stars in the background. If you didn't know Star Wars, you'd still be able to enjoy this gorgeous design.

Darth Vader Sticker

I've never thought of anything relating to Darth Vader as elegant before, but here we are! I love the tie-dye effect that's created by Alexis's use of ink here.

Death Star Coaster

Can you see the text hidden amidst this Death Star coaster? I like how "That's No Moon" is snuck into the design!

This coaster is so nicely made. It has a matte finish to it, but as Alexis assures us in her note, it stands up just fine to wet glasses.

Yoda Quote Bookmark

I love the bookmark included in this box. It's got a different design on either side. This one is the famous Yoda quote, appropriately set against a green background.

The other side has the romantically simple exchange between Leia and Han, along with a silhouette of our princess.

Big Bookmark

This is a new style, as Alexis explains in her note. It's meant to be a bookmark, but it's wider than a typical bookmark would be (maybe double the width). You can treat this as a print, or even use it as a journal card. (You could hit it with a three-hole punch and use it as a divider!)

Again, I think these quotes are so great and enjoyable whether you know Star Wars or not.

Nerdy Post Exclusive Pin

This pin was designed by Nerdy Post and made by Lapel Yeah. I'm so into enamel pins these days, so I'm thrilled to see this high-quality pin in the box!

I love how Alexis snuck some lightsabers into the design!

This pin secures in two places, which gives it a stronger hold and helps it lay more flush with whatever fabric you pin it to. I'm going to put mine on my jacket lapel.

BB-8 Magnet

Wheeeeeeeeee! BB-8! This little robot is one of my favorite parts of the new movie. This magnet doesn't have a ton of stick to it, but it brings me quite a smile when I spot it on my fridge door!

Mini Buttons

These buttons are inspired by the older, original films, so I think it's cool that their design has a retro feel. They're all matte, which is kinda neat and different, too. Love!

Coloring Postcard

Last but not least, every Nerdy Post box has a postcard with a coloring-book-style design on the back. This one is an homage to the droids that appear throughout the Star Wars canon.

On the flip side, there's a standard postcard layout.

Verdict: I loved this Nerdy Post! The box is only $13.95 a month, so each item is, on average, about $1.16. I think that's pretty fair, given that these are completely unique designs. Items like the pins and coaster are really great quality, too. There were also more items in this box than Nerdy Post guarantees. This was a great way to kick off the new year!

Does anyone know the exact sizes of the full size poster, the info card, and the postcard?

I’m looking to buy frames and I don’t want to accidentally buy something too big or small for the prints. My first box is February’s, so I have no frame of reference for how big these prints are.

I’d assume the poster is either 8×10 or 8.5×11, the postcard is 3×4, 4×6, or 5×7, and the info card seems to be the middle size. Can anyone confirm the exact sizes?

Jessicups

Not a big Star Wars fan but the items seem really neat. I could see me enjoying this with a fandom a little closer to my tastes. Does anyone know when they release spoilers for the next month? or can you skip months that don’t fit with your likes?

Hey, I just subscribed to this box so my first box is BBC Sherlock themed (yay!). Apparently when you sign up, you get added to the email list and on the first of each month they send out an email with the theme for the next month. They also release the theme on Instagram and their website after they send out the emails.

I spoke with Alexis (the creator) and she said that you won’t be charged for the next box until the 25th of the month prior (i.e. for the March box, my card won’t be charged until Feb 25). So you have 25 days to decide if you want to skip a month. You can easily do this by editing your subscription information in your account on the website!
