I just wanted you to know they just launched on March 31St and I’m happy to say I joined today! I have never been so impressed with customer service in all my bags as to date…I received an email that said my bag has already shipped! I’m excited to give you updates and very pleased with their prompt customer service!!! A+

After signing up for the kiss me lipstick club and being on the waitlist another two weeks, I contacted the Live Glam customer service again. I was again informed that they can’t tell me when I will be off the waitlist and in addition they said the club has yet to launch! I think it’s awful that the have people sign up, without actually having a product to send out.

Yes I subscribed as well and they told me the same. They need to let people know that before they subscribe. That’s BS. I Emailed them and told me to take me off their waitlist. I’ll wait until they actually launch. That way I could see and hear about the products first.

Good idea! I will do that too!

Hi. Was wondering when the Lipstick club will be reviewed. I signed up for this subscription, with Live Glam, at the same time I did for the Morphe brushes. I am on a waitlist for the lippies. I contacted the company to ask how long it would be and was nicely made informed that they cannot say.

As I read this, I realized that WANT more of the Bad Medina lipsticks. I received two, but gold looks really bad on me, but the color is FABULOUS! Off I go to buy more lipsticks that I really don’t need. This site is really bad for my bank account (but I LOVE it).

Has anyone ever tried kiss me lip product? If so are the mattes any good?

I mostly only use liquid mattes! This would be perfect for me but I wanna see a review first. Can’t wait 🙂

I perked up at metallic. I’m not a big matte fan, especially when it’s stuff drying out my lips, but metallic! I think of matte metallic as old chrome that hasn’t been polished for a long time, or, if we want something that sounds prettier, brushed or burnished metal.

Hi Liz!

I noticed you’ve mentioned a few new beauty boxes recently, so I thought I’d mention a couple more in case you’d like to post about them. 🙂

1) Bare Element (bareelement dot com) (monthly box @ $50/box)

Here’s a description of the box pulled from their site:

Bare Element boxes will include 3-5 medium and/or full sized beauty products made with natural and/or organic ingredients, & always 100% cruelty free. The monthly boxes will always include a carefully curated variety of bath, body, and beauty/cosmetic products. The box value will be between $75-$110, or upwards!

Their inaugural December box featured:
– Holly Beth Organics Grit & Honey Scrub
– Ellovi Butter (this jar was huge!)
– Modern Minerals Love Blush (this was pretty large too)
– Modern Minerals Champagne Loose Shadow
– Lolajane Naturals Fizzing bath cube in Evergreen
– LolaJane Naturals Fizzing bath cube in Candied Ginger

2) Maple Blume (mapleblume dot com) (bi-monthly box @ $120CAD/box, so with the exchange rate that’s ~$90USD/box)

Here’s a description of the box pulled from their site:

Each Mapleblume box has at least five full-size or deluxe sample-size products inside. We will ensure that every box contains a balanced combination of skincare and cosmetic products that work well together.

Their inaugural December box included full-sizes of:
– Herbivore Botanicals Pink Clay Exfoliating Mask
– Linne Repair Face Oil
– Organic Nation Hydration Cream (I think this was a (large) deluxe size)
– Fitglow Beauty Mineral Blush
– Pure Anada Perfect Petal Lipstick
– Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish

I was so excited but you lost me at matte! They should consider giving subscribers the option of gloss or matte!

Jo

I’m pretty sure they’ll have other options going forward, this month will be matte but other months might be glossy or metallic, as they say on the site!

Aw, I would have totally considered this if they weren’t all mattes. I would have loved a metallic gloss subscription. <3 🙂

I love lip products. I love liquid lipsticks. But 3 of the same brand every month, and they are all the same finish? Pass, unfortunately. I would be much more tempted if they weren’t all matte. I also wonder if you can choose a preference, like more bold colors and fewer or no nudes.

I see that they are also going to offer a nail polish bag. Hopefully those won’t all be the same finish – all crèmes or all shimmers. (Oh, who am I kidding, I would totally go for all shimmers!) But, like with the lipsticks, variety is key to appealing to a larger range of subscribers.

It would be nice to be able to customize somewhat, like you mentioned. I’m more concerned with getting shades I can wear (e.g. no dark red or browns) than the finish even though a gloss or other non-matte option would be nice, especially in the winter. I’m interested in this because I recently cancelled Lip Monthly. Despite their so-called ‘customization’ option now, I still got two months in a row of shades I will never wear (choice of one dark shade, or another shade of dark, um, how about NO dark shades? I can’t look like Elvira at work lol) and then had trouble cancelling through my account, so they had to go.

Liz Cadman

I was surprised that this sub is only mattes! Seems like an unnecessary limitation?

Samantha

Right, how can you have a matte metallic? I think shiny when I think metallic. While I have many matte lipsticks, I usually consider matte lipstick to be synonymous with dry lips. They are especially unforgiving in the winter!
