The theme for January is “new beginnings, good fortune, and endless blessings!” ZenBox by Jen sends a paper outlining the box items. I appreciate this information as it helps me know if anything is missing and how to find items I’d like to purchase again.
Yogi Tea Pure Green Tea - Value $0.31
Yogi Tea Relaxed Mind Tea - Value $0.31
Trying different Yogi Teas is one of my favorite things about this subscription. ZenBox by Jen sends a lot of Yogi teas and they are always good! Plus, I love the little sayings on the tea bag tag.
Rosewood & Chamomile Sugar Scrub - Value $6.00 (price from ZenBox by Jen)
This scrub smells delicious and although it is a very small size, I’m happy with the inclusion. I use scrubs all winter long to combat the dryness of winter. I’m glad this was wrapped well as it was pretty oily when I opened it up.
Dark Chocolate Mocha KIND Bar - Value $1.00
We typically have KIND bars in our house. My husband loves them and I’m satisfied with the ingredient list.
Laughing Buddha Statue - $5.00 (price from ZenBox by Jen)
I like little Buddhas but, we have at least 5 in my house so this one will be given away. He’s cute and very small though so it would go well in a little meditation garden or pot.
Turtle Totem Paper Weights - $5.00 (Price from ZenBox by Jen)
This is really cute and I do love that it’s handmade. The downside is that I don’t know what to do with it. My poor desk is messy enough! My daughter loves rocks and since it’s so cute, I think I will gift it to her. Then Buddha and turtle can be friends.
Verdict: On the ZenBox by Jen website, Jen writes about her personal struggles and how essential oils, teas, and regular meditation have helped her. I truly believe Jen is trying to help others and I appreciate that she is trying to help others bring self-care and calm into the lives of others. There is something about this box that when I open it, I smile. I can’t explain why I like it that much but I think it’s sweet and thoughtful. On the other hand, if you are looking for a bargain, this isn’t it. This box is consistently at or slightly above the subscription price. However, this month, the value of the items this month is at $17.62 (not including shipping), which is below the $25 (one time box) or $22.50 (monthly subscription) cost.
