BoxyCharm Subscription Box Review – February 2017

I cancelled Boxy awhile back because I need to go through all my sub box stash. This looks like a great box, but reminds me a lot of one they already did. I got a Z palette and 2 MG pans with a 2 brush set from them last year sometime. But it WAS one of my favorite boxes I received, so I hope everyone who got it loves it! I am jealous of the microdermabrasion product – love that stuff.

I’ll be back eventually, if I ever get another Beauty sub (I still get Glossy, but I have it locked in at a low rate that makes it worth it…plus I feel it’s more skincare, and I’m at an age where I can use that – even though this is more fun). I still get RZBOS and am getting my first Oui Please box…we’ll see if I stick with that or not.

SUPER disappointed in my experience with Boxycharm this month. I was pulled off their waitlist and charged on Feb. 15…as of March 1, I still had not received a shipping notification. Finally received my box today, and the curation gets a big thumbs-down!

I’m thinking they removed too many people from the waitlist and had to scramble to fill orders…the zpalette I received was leopard print, not the exclusive black Boxycharm print advertised. My Makeup Geek shadows are “Barcelona Beach” and “Tan Lines”, which are just brown and brown. The brushes and Bellapierre lip liner (in “Cinnamon”) are from their Jan. 2016 and Dec. 2015 boxes. And my item card doesn’t even list the lip liner (it says instead that I’m supposed to be getting the “Kiss Proff Lip Creme” – way to proofread!).

Hopefully some of the other waitlisted customers had better luck than me, because while the value is technically there, this definitely looks and feels like a box of leftovers. And since their customer service is lacking, there’s no one I can really complain to.

What a bummer. I signed up for Boxycharm too late for February and got an email that my first box won’t be the February box. Mainly wanted it for the Dr Brandt, such an amazing product. Hoping future boxes would carry it again full size.

My box arrived today. it’s my first BoxyCharm. Was on the waitlist and was excited to receive the Feb box. My box is the same as Liz’s with the exception of shadow colors – mine are Prom Night, which is really pretty, and Cherry Cola which is very dark. I still can’t believe how amazing this box is for only $21. I can’t wait to try the dr. brandt exfoliator. I would never splurge on that for myself. I love the juice beauty gloss. I put it on a soon as I opened the box – 2 hours later and it looks exactly the same as when I put it on. Plus it has a nice taste to it. So glad I cancelled GlossyBox for BoxyCharm.

to anyone who got the February box…
my box is on its way but just curious; the weight of my package is 0.8 lbs, can anyone let me know what the box came with in this weight? Super impatient and I’m just dying to know haha

I am one of those people who was waitlisted last month and got off the waitlist for Boxycharm in mid-February. I received my Boxycharm box in the mail today and just wanted to let those who have gotten off the waitlist and are waiting for their box that is still the February box with the advertised new products and not leftovers.

I received the small Z palette, the Omnia eye brushes, the Juice Beauty lipgloss in Fig, two Makeup Geek eyeshadows (in Cherry Cola and Prom Night), and last but not least, the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion that was completely full.

Just got off the waitlist!!! At the last minute, so excited😀

This Dr.Brandt scrub was AMAZING.

With my skin type on my face it can get a little sensitive with exfoliators…

TRY IT ON YOUR FEET.

I brought it with me when I went to get a pedicure and my feet feel AMAZING. Plus it weirds me out a little when they use their own scrub and you don’t know what they use. Also I have been using it in the shower for my feet and my legs before shaving.

HOLY GRAIL.

Just saying..

I got mine today. I’m happy to get the Dr Brandt to try, and somewhat okay with the Brushes I got (Sedona Lace ones).

But I am *beyond* annoyed that out of all the really nice lipsticks there were in other variation boxes this month, I got yet another BRIGHT RED Japonesque brand lipstick. I’m so over this brand and getting bright red lipstick in general, in subscription boxes. What is UP with subscription boxes and their bright red lipsticks? Very few people can wear them, so why send them out if you want people to try them. They’re impossible to swap cause people are like me, and over the amount of them too. Gah. Very annoying, BoxyCharm.

The Dr. Brandt item is enough to make me happy. I’ve been eyeing it for awhile on Birchbox after getting some samples the product but $79 is too steep and Boxy Charm came through.

I loved the box this month! I got the real girl lipstick and I love that brand so much. BB5 introduced me to it a couple months ago.

I was pretty “meh” about the spoilers for this month…and then the box arrived and OH MY GOD FAVORITE BOX EVER!
The z-pallet is a godsend! I didn’t think it would be that exciting…but I can’t wait to fill it up with goodies!
I received the purpletter and grey eyeshadow colors (I forgot the names) and Im so excited that they are fun shades to play around with.
I got the same brushes as Liz, and they’re so stinking cute!
I was so glad to see the real her lipstick in my box…and it’s in the shade “boss”. Gorgeous!! And, killer name. Ha.
I havent heard of Dr Brandt products before…but I’m excited to try it out! Most seem pretty excited about it…so I’m optimistic that I’ll love it too.

I still can’t figure out how boxy does it…$153? Damn! So glad I jumped on this subscription bandwagon…my makeup collection has grown so quickly, without having to spend a fortune.

I love Boxycharm! I wish they would use regular mail instead of FedEx because it takes 3 weeks to get to me! Makes me crazy!! Once the post office gets it, I receive it in a day. FedEx has had it in Indiana for over a week and they just extended delivery to Illinois until the 21st.

I got this exact same box with one small exception…instead of the shade Glamorous, I got Creme Brûlée which is a medium matte sand and I love it! It’s perfect for me since I prefer mattes and rarely wear any shimmery colors. This is hands down the best subscription beauty box I’ve ever received!

Already swapped my Dr Brandt this morning. I love my box especially now since I swapped for things I really wanted.

FYI- This box is sold out! And what really irritated me was they didn’t bother to tell me until AFTER I signed up and gave my cc#!

I got the exact same variation except I got Makeup Geek Creme Brulee instead of Glamorous. I love everything this month. I was hoping for different eyeshadow shades only because I already had Bitten and Creme Brulee. I am hoping to swap for Glamorous and Cherry Cola.

I have had Boxycharm off and on. This box was the best one yet. I liked EVERY product. I just wish it was more consistent for me. We will see what next month brings before I decide to cancel again. Wonderful job on February’s box though, Boxycharm!

So excited! I was bummed today when I looked at my tracking info this am and realized I wont be recieving this til next wednesday and the entire last week I thought it was this Wednesday. 😔
Guess I still have it to be excited about..

I think someone stole my box :'( It was supposedly delivered yesterday, but package services in my apt didn’t put it in my room today or yesterday. I emailed Boxy to see if they can maybe help but if they oversold…who knows. Sigh.

Anyone get a box that weighs 1.5lbs??? I’m a little concerned because all the reviews I’ve been watching have weighed 1lb or less. I didn’t redeem anything. Hoping they didn’t ship me the wrong box or something.

In my box I had:

– Shadows in Barcelona Beach and Unexpected (which are both basically matte browns…I’ll definitely use them but they aren’t very exciting)
– Japonesque Pro Performance Lipstick in Shade 2, which is a gorgeous light pink, just a little brighter than Bobbi Brown Sandwash Pink
– Royal & Langnickel brush duo

This is hands down my favorite box!

Still waiting on mine!! I’m hoping for the 3pc brush set with the liner brush. Also would love to try the real her lipstick. That juice beauty lipgloss is pretty good my lips soak it up but my complaint is that it doesn’t last I end up using so much of it reapplying it goes fast so maybe I should be hoping for that instead lol

*My brush set is the Trio Eye Kit by Sedona Lace. They are a very pretty black and purple set. Super soft.

*My lipstick is the Pro Performance Lipstick by Japonesque. Shade #04 Teinte. It's a pretty red shade. Red isn't really my color but I will give it a try and if it doesn't work well I will pass it along to a friend.

I'm very please with my BoxyCharm box!!
