Next up, decorations!

This kit included a floral stencil set:

And neon fabric markers:

One thing I've noticed with Darby Smart is that many of the supplies they include are good for multiple uses, so I have a bit of a crafting collection going now thanks to this subscription!

And here are the finished banners:

This was an easy project that has enough freedom to let you be creative with your design, too.

The Verdict: I think that is a quality subscription for teens and tweens! The projects aren't too difficult, but they have plenty of room for creativity, and I like that there are two banners in this box in case you wanted to do the craft with a friend!

I am canceling this sub. This is my third sub. First one was a votive that broke in the mail. The second was a color your own globe. Third was design/stamp your own leather bracelets. Did I miss somewhere that I click in my profile to tell them I’m 35 years old? I need adult crafts. Last time I made these leather bracelets was with my daughter at Girl Scout camp 4 years ago.

I really love the projects sent out by Darby Smart but I just cant help but feel like it may be a bit over priced? $20 for fabric pens and 2 cloth banners? These exact markers are at Michaels for $7.50, and that’s before any coupon or sale (everyone knows you only buy from Michaels when you have coupons lol). I just don’t see why risk the $20 a month when I can wait for a decent sale and get these items for 10-15 dollars.

You download the 40% off coupon from the Michaels website on your phone any time, walk into the store, buy one thing, use the coupon, walk out, then walk back in and repeat. 🙂

Right!? Lol. And then there is the 20% off entire purchase!! 40% off those markers makes them around $4.50!!! So cheap.
