This was NOT a full size sample by any means. Just one of those sad little samplers where you peel up some foil and there is a TINY bit of product— maybe enough for one use.

I AGREE ! I find the face scrubs are more realistic as,far as a sample size….why aren’t your foundation’s and face make up the size of scrubs ?

I signed up when this was posted on the 28th and received an email saying I would be receiving an em cosmetics product. However, when I got my bag, no extra product. 😑😑

Birchbox just gave a free Lipstick Queen last month, rv $21.00 I think. Not impressed at all but it was full size. The Mac should be a full size as well.

I signed up this morning uselibg the link here and received an email confirming my first bag will include a free gift from “Em Cosmetics”. No MAC for me I guess. It also says my first bag will be April so perhaps this explains it?

Got a response from ipsy. They kept asking about my order number and completely ignored the question whether it was a full size lipstick or just a card sampler so I think it’s safe to say there was no full size mac lipstick just a slightly misleading play on words. Kinda glad because it was too good to pass up and I already have too many boxes coming in. =)

This is so deceiving. I signed up based on the initial post saying there was a full size mac lipstick. When I click my account now it says “free gift” and it is a picture of this fold out. I emailed them and told them I need a refund and cancellation immediately. Totally misleading, pretty much false advertising on their part.

I received the ColourPop email as well, clicked the link, it had me put in all my info etc., charged me…and no gift. I’m so annoyed! This entire thing just seems really shady. I emailed ipsycare right away asking for an immediate refund.

It says a “full size sampler”, not a lipstick. I suggest a change in the wording of the post so folks don’t get disappointed.

I updated the post, but I still find the wording so confusing! “full-size Shadescents Lipstick & Eau de Parfum Sampler”

There’s no such thing as a “full size” “Sampler” right? I reached out to Ipsy to verify. Sorry about any confusion!

It is saying free gift only if you purchase the whole year up front. It says with subscription. Shouldn’t that mean the monthly plan is valid?

I signed my little sister up using the link provided, and after signing up it said I/she was getting the free product … which I assumed was Mac, since that’s the link I used and the image advertised on the sign up page. However, I just got an email saying she’d be receiving an em cosmetics product … she won’t care, she’s a teenager & I didn’t tell her to expect Mac, but I think it’s ridiculous that they’d advertise Mac but send em instead? Maybe it’s a default email? :/

jess

same thing happen to me :/ the email says i would get a free em gift when as advertised it was supposed to be a Mac lipstick ! so dissapointing ! i cancel my subscription after

Same here, except with Colour Pop! I emailed them, so we’ll see what they say…

Whoa, we don’t skip the waitlist with this option I guess?

Interesting. Birchbox is now carrying MAC cosmetics too.

The march bag looks nice I love my ipsy sub

Irene

It’s not a full size lipstick it’s a foldout card with 6 samples of lipstick on one side and 6 scent samples on the other I got this free at the MAC store

Stephanie

It says the sampler is full sized. It reads like you get a full sized lipstick but it is actually the full range of shades and fragrances on the card so it’s considered to be a full size. I have two ipsy accounts but almost opened up one for this until I realized what it actually is for. MAC also tests on animals so I’ll pass.

That is super deceptive messaging! I updated the post to reflect that we aren’t sure what full-size means, and I’ll update again as soon as I hear back from Ipsy!

Liz Cadman

Hm I wonder if the fold out card is considered the perfume sampler, and the full-size lipstick isn’t pictured? I’ll email ipsy now to verify. Thank you!

Britt

Hmmm I wonder why it says full size in their picture on the top then…..

Julie

If they’re playing a word game the “full size” sample could mean that they didn’t cut the card up into numerous sections and that you get a full card? Really lame to count that as a gift. I emailed them and got the response that it would take a few days. I can’t imagine them giving out too many full size mac lipsticks… considering how many of us would join purely for that and then possibly cancel afterwards,

Britt

That is ridiculous glad you pointed that out. I definitely would of signed up but not for a sample. They need to get their wording right that is SHADY! They know its going to confuse people!

Alice

Darn! I just subscribed this morning using a coupon they sent me for a free full size Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in my choice of color. They let me choose from 3 diff shades that they had. Colourpop is still good though .. 😁

Sara

I did the same thing! I’m excited about the Colourpop though.

How did you get the Colourpop coupon? I’d love to sign up under that but I can’t find it online.
