I’m glad I noticed this, because I forgot all about this box and would have missed my selections! I usually noticed a reminder email they send but I must have missed it! I’m not wowed by this box, and I’m really overloaded with the selections they are offering. I have soooo many polishes – I wish they had a makeup-only box for when you get saturated on polishes, I don’t wear polishes most of the time. Maybe I’ll skip this month and see if anything different pops up next month, perhaps for skin care or makeup, and if not, maybe cancel? I’ve already got two of the skin oils, two of the overnight masks, I’m pretty stocked on what I’d consider the higher value products.

This is my first month with Julep and it appears there’s only going to be three items in my box. Is that how many they usually send?

Julia

Yes, your box comes with 3 items (and I think 4 if you are only ordering polish). It’s definitely still a savings compared with full price. If you choose to customize your box, you can change any of your items. If you love all the polish colors and makeup, you can also choose to order the entire collection, which is like $40 more.

There is also an option to add up to 6 add-on items or sets at very reasonable prices. They often have skin care or nail care sets that are really nice deals, if there are specific items you want to check out. Julep also has a Secret Store for Mavens, which opens after the box customization closes. There are other deals here, so you should look at 1) what you can choose for your box, 2) box add-ons, and 3) Secret Store deals before you buy anything at regular price.

Thank you! You explained the membership benefits better than Julep’s website!

I like most of the nail polish colors, but honestly I’m overstocked on so many purple variations that I don’t want any more, so I’m happy we can edit our box.

The cuticle pen is really cool and I’m really happy with that.

I don’t like the makeup colors, so I’m going to be switching them out.

Overall I’m really pleased with this months reveal.

There is something really 80s about these nail polish colors, when you view them in their entirety as a collection. Don’t get me wrong, I love it. I’ve been skipping for months but I may need to get, well, ALL of them!

Just figured out what it is–they’re Nagel colors! 😀

The It’s Balm is so moisturizing, but not long-wearing. I won’t buy more of that. I do love some of this month’s colors – and I’d really like a few more eyeshadow sticks. I find that they wear really well.

I’ve been wanting maroon eyeliner forever!!!!

Ooh, Rosemary (the brick creme) and Jennye (the powder blue holo) look fun! I agree with the other post that these doesn’t exactly scream “spring” to me, but I do like them. As for my third item, I’m considering the Fig Shimmer eyeliner although I know I’m likely to not wear it. 🙂 Maybe I’ll opt for another product since I’ve skipped the last few boxes.

Marion

Haha, those are the exact 3 items I’m interested in!

I’m really liking some of these polish colors! That sparkly periwinkle will definitely be in my box, since I love pastels. I still wish they’d be a little more adventurous, but at least I’m excited about a few of these.

I do think the curation is a little weird this month. Tbh, the red doesn’t exactly scream “spring is coming!” to me. Same with the dark lipstick and eyeliner – they are nice, trendy colors, but it’s weird they didn’t come out in fall or winter.

I must say that I was incredibly impressed with Julep’s makeup. I have their eyeshadow sticks, pencil gel eyeliner, and blush stick and love them all. I’m excited to try a lipstick next. Is their a clear favorite that is matte? Any input on other favorites would be greatly appreciated.

Natalie

It’s whipped is their matte lipstick. It doesn’t dry down completely like most liquid lipsticks but it’s moisturizing and the colors are gorgeous.

Julia

They’re not exactly matte, but the It’s Balm lip products are so moisturizing and great. I have a true red (Cardinal Red) that’s low/medium shine, but my mauve (Vintage Mauve) and pink (Blossom Pink) are fairly matte.

I’m generally not a huge fan of lip gloss, but theirs are pretty nice and pigmented.

I agree with the blush stick – it’s great to go! They also come in bronzer and illuminator shades.

Personally, I love the Detoxifying Cleansing Stick. It’s gentle and it’s so nice to travel without worrying about liquids spilling everywhere. The konjac sponges are also nice and gentle. The Love Your Bare Face cleansing oil is also pretty nice, and apparently people like that Boost Your Radiance rosehip oil. So I think they have a lot of good skincare as well. ☺

Thank you so much for your assistance. I’m really impressed thus far, but was weary about the lips. Definitely going try one out and the detox stick, I had been eyeing that too. You’ve been extremely helpful, thanks.

Julia

Not sure why that happy face is blushing lol. 🙂

Katie

These are colors I’m actually really happy with! I’ve been skipping this box for months now, and I’m happy to get all of these colors! Thanks for the spoilers!

Most of it looks amazing!

Thinking of selecting the balm, anyone have an opinion on it? I have a feelings it’s not very long wearing…

Lindsay

Thanks ladies!

I might get one for casual wear! Helps to know so I can pick a lighter shade!

Julia

I don’t think it’s very long-wearing, but it is extremely moisturizing and the colors I’ve received are great. There’s also a slight vanilla fragrance. It’s definitely not a lipstain though. I did just put some on for science, so I’ll let you know what happens!

Ok so here are the results of my It’s Balm experiment. I chose to use the Cardinal Red (true red) since I figured it would be easy to see any changes.

– First 2.5 hours: held up to sitting around and light snacking
– Had a light lunch of chicken and spinach, along with water (no straw). The color stuck around, but I noticed that the bright red had worn and started to look more pink.
– I realized I wasn’t going to sit around in the lipstick for 9 hours, so I put it to the hardest test I could think of: eating ice cream (for science!). I thought the color would be completely gone, but it actually fared surprisingly well. The color closest to my mouth did wear off so it looked a little silly if I opened my mouth wide.

In conclusion, I think it will last fairly well, but you would probably want to reapply it after a substantial meal. Although my lips kept their pigment after eating, you’d want to refresh them to maintain that bright red. I hope that helps! 🙂

Linda

I have a bunch, they wear really well for being so moisturizing. Id say they wear a little less than juleps bullet lipsticks (which i think are some of more best wearing ones) but comparable to most other lipsticks… id say the wear is best compared to that of a quality high shine bullet lipstick or a regular average lipstick. If you want liquid lipstick staying power…this wont cut it, but if you want “better than lip balm” youll be happy. Will last through coffee and bagle or a light lunch, but if you dont reapply you can expect to come home with bare lips.
