Each month is themed. This month's theme was 'DEATH' and featured Dark Souls, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Bleach.

Lootaku-Death-February-2017-0004

It will include a large card with details about the items in the box.

Banpresto DFX - Dark Souls Sculpt Correction Vol. 1: Faraam Knight - Value $50

The card lists the value at $50, I found it at my go-to toy store for $35 - but there are a couple things to consider for value with this item: this is an early release of this statue releases in July 2017, and this is an Aisa exclusive limited release - so those things definitely have value - so I don't think $50 is overvaluing it on the card.

Lootaku-Death-February-2017-0030

This early release is fully painted and ready for display. It's full of details, as you'd expect from Banpresto.

Lootaku has included a lot of Banpresto items in their box - and I have really loved each one. I'm a bit of a statue hoarder - so even when I'm getting a franchise I might not follow, I'll love the statue if it's great artwork with and awesome sculpt.

Fullmetal Alchemist Alphonse Elric 8" Plush by Great Eastern Entertainment - Value $16

There are 3 items from Fullmetal Alchemist this month. The first is this 8" plush of Alphonse Elric.

This plush has a little bit of weight, along with flat feet, that allows it to easily stand!

It's a fully working pocket watch, with clip for your pocket. It's got a bunch of little details, too, including the inscription "Don't Forget 3.Oct.11" which marks the date that Edward and Alphonse began their journey.

Bleach Pin Gotei 13, 13th Division - Value $3

The last item from the box is also from Bleach - it's a Gotei 13 pin.

Verdict: You don't have to look further than the Dark Souls statue to realize why I suggested Lootaku as "one to watch" for geek boxes in 2017! This box has been including awesome statues - big and small - since I've been receiving boxes, as a statue collector myself, this is the only subscription that I can count on to add a statue to my collection almost every delivery. With the reduction in price - I'm hoping it will get more US subscribers. It's kind of my perfect box - even if I'm not always a fan of the franchises.

Oh my goodness!!! I wish I didn’t miss out on this subscription this month!! Full Metal Alchemist is my favorite anime, and I haven’t come across many FML items in geek boxes, even though it’s one of the most popular anime series in the states. This box is so awesome! I will definitely be subscribing to this sub in the near future. Thank you so much for reviewing this!

I wish I got this box. That Dark Souls figure looks awesome and would’ve been perfect for a friend’s upcoming birthday. Maybe next time.
