OrangeGlad includes a really beautifully designed booklet to accompany the sweets, that gives a little information on the individual artisans and the goodies themselves.
Fatty Sunday's Toffee Pretzels - Value $3.49
These pretzels are covered in milk chocolate and crushed toffee. They are really delicious. The salty pretzel against the sweet milk chocolate is sublime.
Quin Fruit Lollipops - Value $3.90
I received three fruity lollipops in this package - blackberry, strawberry, and cherry. These are fairly flat and small lollipops, which make for easier consumption! I've mentioned in the past that lollipops aren't my favorite sweet, and that remains true, but I did try the blackberry flavor and it was quite good!
Sweet Lydia's Original S'more - Value $3.83
S'mores are quintessentially American - the gooey marshmallow, the crisp graham cracker, and the melty chocolate. Treat companies are constantly trying to recreate the magic of s'mores in an easier, more accessible manner. This one was really good. All the right flavors were present, the snap of the graham cracker was perfect, and it was definitely easier to eat than a classic s'more. I always miss the melty, gooey texture of a real s'more, but this was definitely a great treat.
Shotwell Candy Co. Craft Beer & Pretzel Caramels - Value 2.62
These caramels are heavenly! I do not taste the beer but the crunch of the pretzel is phenomenal with the chewy texture of the caramel.
Shotwell Candy Co. Espresso Caramels - Value 2.62
These caramels have ground bits of espresso bean inside of them. The beans are hand crushed, so there's a variety of sizes mixed throughout the caramel. I enjoyed these, but I'm not certain I would purchase them!
Look at those gorgeous caramels!
Verdict: This month was a good month from OrangeGlad product wise. I really enjoyed all of the little treats included. Value wise, the box comes out to about $16.46. That is disappointing. There were no special or exclusive products included this month to make this box really special, and worth a $9.00 discrepancy in value - all of the products can be purchased online through the company's respective websites.
I really enjoy my OrangeGlad boxes but I do hope they intend to work harder in the future to increase the value for their subscriber base.
