Now, onto the items!

Beauty-fix-march-2017-0017

EVOLVh SuperFinish Polishing Balm – FULL SIZE! Value $32

I love the EVOLVh haircare line! It's pricey, so I usually only enjoy it if I get a sample in a subscription box, and I think this is the first time I've ever received a full-size item!

This styling balm smells heavenly, and it's free of any type of ingredients you may want to avoid. The formula is lightweight and versatile - you can use it on damp or dry hair. I only needed a dime-sized amount for my hair, too, so this bottle should last for a long time!

Dr. Brandt Pores No More Cleanser – FULL SIZE! Value $36

(Good to know for swaps - this product has an inner foil seal.)

This cleanser is gentle, smells lovely and clean, and didn't dry out my skin. I can't say I noticed a major difference in the appearance of my pore size, though.

June Jacobs Neroli Hydrating Mist - 2 oz Value $11.40

This is one of my favorite items in the box! It’s a refreshing mist you can use as a toner after cleansing your skin, and you can use it throughout the day as a refresher for your skin/makeup. (I absolutely love the summery scent, too. It reminds me a bit of Bobbi Brown Beach.)

Beauty-fix-march-2017-0012

Beauty Blender Blotterazzi - 1 Sponge Value $10

Beauty-fix-march-2017-0014

This set comes with one sponge and a foil packet of cleanser:

Beauty-fix-march-2017-0015

This product works well for me as an oil blotter, but it's not something I would buy. (I prefer oil blotting sheets that you throw out after use, instead of this sponge which you have to clean to reuse.)

Beauty-fix-march-2017-0016

The original beauty blender is amazing for applying foundation, though!

Beauty-fix-march-2017-0010

HUM Beauty zzZz - 5 Tablets Value $1.60

These tablets are made with melatonin and B6 to help aid in sleep. I've tried other Hum Nutrition products and I like their ingredients, so I'm definitely going to use these next time I'm struggling to fall asleep.

Sun Bum Sunless Self-Tanning Towelette – Value $3.20

I don’t typically get excited about self-tanning towelettes, but this one is pretty great. First, the scent. If you’ve sampled a lot of self-tanner like I have, then you are probably used to a lot of not-great smelling products. This towelette is literally a breath of fresh air in comparison – it smells like a tropical suntan lotion – I love it!

And the towelette wasn’t dripping in any excess product, either. When I applied it, it dried almost instantly on my skin. The color is subtle and looks natural, too.

Jouer Cosmetics Essential Lip Enhancer - 4.5 ml Value $7.38

Beauty-fix-march-2017-0027

I was expecting this lip treatment to have a balm-like finish, but it actually is super glossy. If you are looking for a high-shine clear gloss, this is a good one.

Beauty-fix-march-2017-0029

Vichy Idealia Life Serum - 3 ml Value $3.90

This serum is a really lightweight liquid. (It felt more like a water based serum than an oil based one.) I like the scent, it absorbed quickly, and it made my skin feel a little softer.

Beauty-fix-march-2017-0023

Skinceuticals Hyaluronic Acid Intensifier - 2 ml? Value $6?

Beauty-fix-march-2017-0024

This product is designed to help "improve the visible appearance of firmness, smoothness, and facial plumpness." I felt like I saw an immediate improvement when I applied this, but for long term results, you're supposed to use it for 12 weeks - so this sample size isn't going to cut it!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $111! That's a great value for a $24.95 box. I'm really happy with the full-size and deluxe-size brands and products included. Plus, I'll use everything in this box.

What do you think of the March 2017 Beauty Fix box?

As of today 3/12 - this box is still available if you sign up!

I love this subscription! I let go of all of my subs except for this one and Birchbox. Dermstore consistently delivers top quality skincare products. Every box I have ever received has high value. I don’t know if any other sub that ALWAYS includes one or two FULL SIZE items. I buy almost all, if not all of my skincare products from Dermstore. The 20% off code doesn’t work for all products because some brands, like Skinceuticals, exclude themselves from discounts. So you have to wait for specific times when the brand is running a promotion. About the Dr. Brandt cleanser – it contains benzoyl peroxide so keep it away from your eyes. Additionally, if you are a Retin-A (tretinoin) user, you cannot use this as a nightly cleanser. Benzoyl Peroxide decreases the effectiveness of Retin-A and will also cause over irritation. It’s fine as a morning cleanser since Retin-A is applied only at night.

I LOVE beautyfix! This box was great. All the items work well, especially like the hair balm. It’s lightweight and my hair is soft and shiny after using, plus it takes very little product and this will last quite awhile. Unsubscribed from several boxes recently, but I will continue with beautyfix.

Couldn’t resist…..I’d like to try the Dr. Brandt cleanser!

I have oily skin and usually avoid oils, however I did try the Skinceuticals and it’s great! It’s a gel consistency that quickly absorbs into my skin. Would love to track down more on the swaps site but they are scant. I’m still debating on whether or not to buy the full size. Dermstore sent out an email within the past couple days about saving 20% off this month’s products but the code doesn’t seem to work for me. $98 is steep so I’ll probably sit this one out until I can find a good discount.

I have one up for swap! 🙂

The skinceuticals would actually work very well with oily skin because alcohol dent. is actually the second ingredient I believe, which is drying on skin. So, it will actually help dissolve some of the oils on your face. Hope this helps!

Did anyone else get a black Blotterazzi Pro instead of the pink one with a cleaning pak?

Blotterzzi is great for touch ups…but not for blotting.

LoRi

I agree that it’s not great for blotting. I have very oily skin and I don’t notice any difference.

I had to resubscribe after seeing this. TOTALLY worth the money and probably the best Beauty Fix box I’ve ever seen!!

Great box!! I will use everything. I’ve used the Evolvh hair product several times since I received it and it’s done wonders for my frizzy, wavy hair. I’ve used the Dr. Brandt wash before and it’s ok but seem to sting my eyes. The jouer lip product is really moisturizing although a little watery but not sticky. I love skinceuticals and wish that product was larger. I’m not quite sure I saw enough improvement with that tiny sample to justify a full size purchase($95?). This box is full of usable items and is almost always my favorite box each month. It’s definitely the box to get(if you’re ok not getting much makeup).

This is a really useful box. I’m going to get another one.

This is my favorite beauty fix in the 5 months since I started subscribing. The last 2 boxes were disappointing but this one really knocked it out of the park for me! The only item I put up for swap was the tanning towelette and that’s just because I don’t mind being pale!

I also loved this box! My only complaint is the mist smells something awful! I’m not sure if I got a funky one or if I just don’t like the scent. I’m usually not picky whatsoever about scents so I don’t know! Plus after I used it not only did my face stink but was oily. So disappointed 😢 I really needed a good toner too!

My Beautyfix was my favorite box this month, as usual! Last month I actually opened a second account and I’m so happy I did! Great review Liz! Also.. keep em coming BeautyFix!

Also I got this box in the mail a few days ago and I love every single product!

Beauty Fix is my favorite sub, and I love everything in this box! I don’t even think I could pick a favorite item, they’re all so great 🙂

The Vichy product is actually the radiance boosting serum, not the life serum. Their literature is wrong.

I’m really happy with this box and glad I opted to remain with it after the spf expiration date fiasco a box or two ago.

I love the face mist and the hair serum! I too passed out with a solid sleep after taking the hum zzzz–a great item for tonight’s time change !

I don’t fully understand how to use the Evolvh, despite contacting them directly. I blow dry my hair, so would I put it on my hair as it is still damp and then continue drying? Or, do I wait until it is dry and then put it on? Guidance would be appreciated.

Reply ButtonReply

Melody

The bottle says you can also put it on once it is dry as a finishing balm. That’s how I used it and I love it!!! It took all my frizz away!

Reply ButtonReply

Kat Kovarik

Put in on wet to mid shaft and ends and then dry as you normally would.

I got this box and I loved it! I swear the HUM tablets have actually made me sleepy the last two nights…and this from a night owl.
