Bookroo-March-2017-Wrapped

I love that Bookroo sends the books individually wrapped each month. It’s a special touch that’s appreciated.

I also like that Bookroo includes an information card in their boxes with a summary of each book.

Elecopter by Michael Slack – Value $8.99 on Amazon (retail price $15.99)

What an imaginative book! It’s about an elephant/helicopter hybrid that saves safari animals in danger and then puts out fires with his trunk. This book had a lot of great vocabulary words to teach younger children and brightly colored pictures. My three-year-old daughter got a kick out of this story.

Wherever You Go by Pat Zietlow Miller - Value $7.49 on Amazon (retails price $17.00)

I instantly feel in love with this story about charting new courses, finding adventures, making friends and following your path back home again. Eliza Wheeler is rapidly becoming one of my all-time favorite illustrators after I read her book Miss Maple’s Seeds a few months ago. Her detailed and whimsical drawings show vast countrysides, bustling cities, and seaside villages. I loved the feeling I got when reading this book to my own children as they pored over every page and followed rabbit on his journey down winding roads.

Verdict: The value of Bookroo this month was $16.48 (using Amazon prices) which is lower than I’ve seen them have in the past. However, both selections were hits this month with Wherever You Go sealing a place on my “forever favorites” list. We love receiving Bookroo’s beautifully wrapped books each month. I highly recommend this subscription to the little bookworm in your life.

Jessica's addiction started off slowly enough with Birchbox, but it has grown and grown over the last three years. An elementary school librarian and mom of two she loves boxes that are child-centric. But she'll never turn down a good fashion, beauty or tasty treat subscription.
