You'll receive 4 different types of candy each month. 3 will arrive in cups and the fourth will be loose candy in the box.

They no longer offer the option of selecting sweets, sours, or sweets + sours - instead, you'll take a short quiz to decide what types of candies you'd like to receive each month.

Instead of one card that detailed each item in the box, they now send individual cards for each treat.

Albanese Gummi Peach Rings

I was so excited that these made their way into my March box - these were the first candies I was drawn to!

Candy-club-march-april-2017-0016

This is the typical peach ring. Lots of sugar coating on a super soft gummy candy - these are an A+ this month.

Gimbal's Gourmet Jelly Beans (Candy Club Original Mix)

In my January Candy Club, I received the '41 Flavors' version of these jelly beans - which I LOVED - so I thought it was fun to get a Candy Club exclusive mix of fruit flavors!

Candy-club-march-april-2017-0012

They're all fruit flavored, but maybe not the fruit you'd expect - inside is Wild Cherry, Tangerine, Geen Apple, and Pink Grapefruit - YUM!

FINI Sour Tornado Bites

If you've read my past Candy Club reviews, you'll know that I can't get enough of these filled licorice bites!

Candy-club-march-april-2017-0020

This month's filling was sour, so I was a tad hesitant since I'm not a big sour candy fan. But, the filling really isn't that sour (it doesn't even make me pucker) and just added more tangy flavor than anything else.

Primrose Sour Fruit Balls

This month's loose candy were hard, sour candies.

Candy-club-march-april-2017-0008

They came in Cherry, Lime, Grape, Orange, and Lemon. The outer candy was more of a sweet candy, and it became more sour as it melted in your mouth - but again, it was never sour enough to even make me pucker.

Verdict: This was my favorite month yet of Candy Club! I really enjoyed each and every candy this month, even the sour selections. They're starting to get more and more chocolate offerings - so be on the lookout for that in future reviews!

This is the 2nd Candy Club order since December that I’ve had an incorrect item. 🙁 The item I’d originally asked for was out of stock but they did offer me a replacement of anything else that was still available. I picked…are you ready for this?…chicken and waffles taffy! It’s pretty good, more of a maple flavor than anything else.

Ahaha, I tried the chicken & waffles taffy with a thought to “this is so bizarre, I have to try it!” It is basically maple-y, but maybe not as full-out sweet as something like a maple bar donut would be?

This month I ordered the Tornado Bites to try something different; they should be here in a couple days. I wish they’d said it was licorice, though.

One thing that bothers me about them is their small selection of what’s in stock at any given time, AND that they are not transparent about that — that second part is probably even worse. Last month I got an email about all their types of chocolate the same day it was time for me to choose my candies, so I went to the site ASAP, and the only 3 chocolate types listed were already out of stock. One was Reese’s Pieces, which you can obviously buy in a grocery store for much cheaper.

I tried to cancel but you have to call them (ugh, my phone anxiety is bad enough already), and they give a somewhat hard sell enticing you to stay, including a discount on your next month, which I took. If you were able to cancel via email or website, I would’ve done so a couple months ago.
