Once again, everything arrived in this lovely cotton drawstring bag! Such a nice bonus!
This is the letter I received in my package. It goes into great detail about the items in my package, and especially the artisans who created them. It really helps make these items feel so special. This month's box focuses on their artisans in most need of support.
Zip Pouch, Cambodia
This pouch is so pretty! I can't tell what kind of material it is made out of, but it's very sturdy and well made. It's actually the perfect size for keeping "personal items" in my purse! This was made by a disabled single mother in Cambodia, and it makes me so happy that Elevita is able to help her in this way.
Trivet, India
I am pretty blown away by how beautiful this hand-painted trivet is! The design was inspired by flora and fauna local to Jaipur, India, and was made by a rural group. It is so nice and heavy! I almost feel like it's too gorgeous to put under a pot!
Block Printed Scarf, India
This scarf is so beautiful and delicate, I just love it. It completely delights me when a design featuring gold and silver together works so well. The beading is so pretty, too. The fabric feels like a very lightweight chiffon. This was block printed by hand in Rajasthan, India.
Verdict: Elevita is awesome! I really appreciate everything they do to help global artisans, and I love feeling like I'm a part of that. This month's items were all so nice! I love the scarf, but I think the trivet is my favorite this time. I don't have retail values for everything, but I think $30 for this box is a bargain.
