Each bi-monthly delivery has been themed around one of the characters. So far, we've had Kaylee, Jayne, Zoe, Washburne, YoSaffBridge, and the Serenity ship - this month features Shepard!
You'll always get a copy of The Signal. Inside you'll find information on each product along with stories from Firefly. This month had a nice piece on the career of the late Ron Glass - who played Shepard.
Theme Pin - Value $5-10?
Each month includes a pin. This is my favorite pin yet - it comes from a very specific word of advice given by Shepard to Captain Reynolds.
Replica Jayne Shirt - Value $15?
This month's exclusive shirt is a replica shirt. While this is a Shepard box, this is a Jayne replica shirt, which is odd but something I'm ok with because this is the kind of shirt I hope we get more of - stuff pulled from the costume design!
Here's a better look at the sleeve logo.
Shepard Little Damn Heroes Mini Master Figure – Value $20-25
OK - back on track with a Shepard Little Damn Hero vinyl figure!
I'm really enjoying Halo and Firefly crates - a lot of that has to do with the exclusive vinyl figure lines like this - please do a vinyl line for Marvel?!
Anyways, this really does nicely capture Shepard's typical laid-back but 'worthier' attitude.
QBit Figure – Value $10-15?
We get a second vinyl figure this month (YAY). This will continue your Firefly QBit collection!
Typically, these are in every crate, but there were a few that they were excluded from. When they're in the box, you'll be able to snag one of two characters in these blind boxes - this month featured Zoe (who I got!) and Badger.
Firefly Pocket Watch - Value $10-15?
Stay shiny with this Firefly pocket watch.
This is in line with any replica pocket watch from a subscription - it's not the highest of quality materials, but it's a nice callout to the show - on the outside body and clock face.
Serenity: A Shepards Tale Graphic Novel - Value $8-10?
You'll get a graphic novel from the Serenity comic series. This is an exclusive cover made just for Cargo Crate, too.
The Serenity series is a great way to extend the series for fans - but hopefully, Firefly will be brought back soon? Fingers crossed!
Atlas the ‘Verse Planetary Flash Card - Value $1?
In past boxes, we received to information cards on the Firefly Universe - this month everyone gets just the Haven card.
Each card has planetary details on the reverse side.
Firefly Travel Sticker - Value $2?
Continue your Firefly passport with this Southdown Abbey sticker!
Verdict: I'm always excited for Firefly Cargo Crate because I can't wait to see the latest in the figure line. This month's figure wasn't flashy, but neither was Shepard - so it fits. Between both figures, the shirt, the pin, and graphic novel - this box is a win for me. How about you?
