Geek Fuel doesn't have themes, but you'll know 2-3 franchises in each month before it ships.

It comes with an information card that details each item in the box.

It comes with a mini mag that has featured stories and a little bit more about the included items.

Inverse Universe Shirt - Value $15?

This month's exclusive shirt features the Guardians of the Galaxy - more specifically, Rocket and Groot. I love how you can see Rocket and Groot from the upcoming sequel (including mini Groot!) within the image of the pair from the original movie - great design!

Magical Elixir Lamp - Value $15?

The next item is an exclusive from Geek Fuel. It's made to look like potions/elixir from all of your favorite 8-Bit games!

Geek-Fuel-March-2017-0014

The stuff inside the bottle is solid and translucent, while the base has a little LED light in the middle.

Geek-Fuel-March-2017-0015

Put the two together and you'll get different colored potions. The LED will cycle through different colors on its own.

Here's a look at all of the featured colors.

Power Rangers Pin - Value $5-10?

Every month, you'll receive a pin featuring their robot mascot as a different character. This month featured the Power Rangers.

Geek-Fuel-March-2017-0026

I got the black Power Ranger, but all of the Rangers were a possibility - including the green Ranger, which is limited to only 500.

Geek-Fuel-March-2017-0020

Guardians of the Galaxy Print - Value $10?

The next exclusive item also featured the Guardians of the Galaxy!

Geek-Fuel-March-2017-0021

You'll receive one of two variants - the galactic green variant being limited to only 500 copies. We'll be getting a ton of Guardians items over the next few month leading up to the sequel - but this is an early favorite in terms of prints, I love the artwork and the movie poster style.

Geek-Fuel-March-2017-0018

Starward Rogue Steam Game - Value $11.99

This month's game follows that Galatic feel of the rest of the items! Starward Rogue is a top-down action game that will bring you back to old console and arcade games - and gets really good reviews!

Verdict: This month's Geek Fuel had its ups and downs for me. I'm really loving the shirt, print, and game - while the hero item, the elixir, left me a bit ambivalent. But, the value was absolutely there - and if you're a Steam gamer looking to build your library, this box is a good option.

How did you not like that lamp? It is SWEET!

That’s exactly what I was thinking too. We LOVE the lamp! We actually put it in our display case and people ask about it whenever they’re over! It’s great!

I’m afraid they hooked me with those pins. After I got the first I didn’t think much of it, after the second I was interested, but after the third I couldn’t resist getting the fourth, despite not knowing about anything else that was going to be in the box. Same with the fifth. Thankfully the shirts were nice (as they almost always are) and I really like the lamp from the pic and the description (my box hasn’t shipped yet – I hope to remember to come back and comment once I get it). Although it would be nice to get a rare pin for once – all the 4 I got are the common ones.

I’m with you on those pins! I didn’t think much of the first pin – but now I’m looking forward to seeing what design the pin is each month

My box came late in March, but looks like someone heard my complains, because I got the 1/500 rare Green Ranger pin! And the lamp really looks awesome, I gave it to my daughter and she loves it despite being too little to know anything about 80s magic potions.

I would also swap for that Lamp!! I think its awesome!!

I’d be interested in swapping for that elixir light if anyone doesn’t want theirs. My son would love it!
