Black Diamond Knife Block from Edge of Belgravia - Value $99

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0013

This is the only knife block I've ever seen that could double as art!

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0016

It holds up to 11 standard size knives.

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0014

The knife openings are all the same size in blade millimeters, so some knives will fit snugger than others.

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0015

And despite the open lightweight design, it's pretty sturdy.

Here it is with a knife to give you a better sense of what it looks like:

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0018

Now I want knives with all black matte handles to match!

UPDATE: This box also included a 30% off coupon code for the Edge of Belgravia!

Faceted Acrylic Bowl - Value $49

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0025

This acrylic bowl is hand made, and it has a geometric, origami look to it. (The bowl measures about 10 inches across.)

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0023

(Subscribers could pick from one of 3 colors.) I opted for white since it will work well with my kitchen or just about any other room in my house!

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0024

This is my favorite item in the box - it's unique and I have so many uses for it!

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0026

Art Altered Anatomy Magnets - Value $7

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0027

These magnets measure about 1 inch across.

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0028

These seem very appropriate for a Happy Rebel Box! I like the simple black and white design, too.

Pyramid Stud Tea Towels - Retail Value Listed $36

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0032

These tea towels are made of a linen/cotton blend. They are accented with a hand screen printed metallic design.

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0033

$36 for 2 tea towels seems high to me, but I just looked at Anthropologie's site, and they have tea towels for up to $24 each,

Paper Pixel Prints Kitchen Prints - Retail Value Listed $48

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0035

These prints are 5x7 inches, so they will be very cheap to frame!

Happy-rebel-box-spring-2017-0036

Each piece includes black and white marble design with some cute text.

The digital prints are on card stock, then embellished with copper foil stamping.

Verdict: This box has a retail listed value of about $239. Even though I might not pay some of the retail values listed (like the prints, for example), I still think the value on this is great for a $100 home box. The products are so unique and they all feel special, too. My favorite item is the acrylic bowl, but I really like every item in this box. (My husband loves the knife block, too!)

The review mentioned that subscribers were able to choose a color for the acrylic bowl. Does anyone know if this is only for existing subscribers or if there is somewhere to choose the color for new subscribers? Also, the comments indicated a discount code for Edge of Belgravia what % discount is the code for?

@HappyRebelBox

Hi Rachel! Once you place your order, just send us an email with your bowl color choice immediately after with your purchase. The discount code for Edge of Belgravia is 30%, and the discount for Art Altered is 15%!

I loved this box! And it was the first box where I incorporated the things into my house and my husband noticed and complimented them. Winter and now Spring were slam dunks. Loved!

Totally swapping everything but the magnets and tea towels. Not that into this ,my first, box from them. Previous boxes looked GREAT though!

If you’re looking for black matte geometric knives to match the knife block, I would recommend Furtif Evercut knives.

https://www.aplusrstore.com/product/1499/furtif-evercut-knives (and other retailers).

I have the chef’s knife from Bespoke Post, and it is beautiful and cuts very well. I’ve only had it for a few months though, so I can’t speak to its longevity.

I really wanted this box for that knife block specifically, but I worried that the open concept plus my dumb cat’s curiosity would lead to her cutting her paws.

Thanks for the great review, Liz. You forgot to mention the Edge of Belgravia coupon! I am so looking forward to upgrading my knife set with new matching knives for my knife block. I was considering doing it anyway, but the discount really pushed me over the “edge” 😉 Thanks for getting this for us, Happy Rebel!

I would say the towels are my other favorite from the box. I love the grey-on-grey print of the studs so it is cool but also subtle. I was looking at tea towel sets on Etsy and I would agree the price seems right on (especially when you factor in shipping).

Looks like a decent box but I’d never pay that much for it.

I am always surprised at the quality of items Happy Rebel acquires and well worth the value. I always like the box once I have received it.

Connie

I received my box today and am extremely happy. I definitely want to get some new knives and the included discount code is generous. So glad I signed up for Happy Rebel. This kitchen box is a winner. The prints are the only item that is not my style. I feel that prints in boxes seem like fillers and the retail values seem inflated.

Ashley

I will gladly take the prints off your hands…

Connie

Thank you for reaching out but my granddaughter has already claimed them.

Virginia

If the items in the prints were given instead I would have considered it a great box. I just am not into most modern items.
