This is a no-frills subscription. You'll be getting the amount of POPs of your choice in a plain brown box.

Here's a quick run-down of creating your PIAB account:

The first thing you'll want to do is set up your collection. This is an important step to ensure that you don't receive a duplicate POP or a POP that you may not care about.

piab-1

You can cycle through POPs and selection options for each one. Mark 'Add to my Collection' for POPs you have and avoid duplicates. Give POPs a thumbs down to let PIAB know that you don't want it, and mark it as thumbs up to let them know that you're really interested in that specific POP.

piab-2

There are a TON of POPs to go through. I haven't even gone through all of them, but in the end, you'll have built your own collection! This will help you keep track of what you have, and it will help PIAB know what to send.

OK - Time for this month's POP haul!

Stewie Griffin POP

The first of 6 POPs is from Family Guy.

I was really into Family Guy when it first aired for two seasons and ended - but, it felt like it had jumped the shark even before it was revived and brought back - but I'm certainly in the minority there because it's in season 15 or 16!

Carey Price POP

Yes - my first NHL POP! I'm a big Penguins fans, so I'd prefer Crosby, but I'm also just a hockey fan in general - so I'm excited for this entire line.

Love or hate the Habs, you probably have already admitted that Carey Price is one of, if not the, best goalie out there. Can we get Playoff Beard variants of these!?

Morgan Reilly POP

Naturally, Toronto gets a POP because it's a hockey hotbed, but I was surprised to see Morgan Reilly and not someone like Nazim Kadri.

Granted, if they made these this year they'd have so many Leafs to choose from.

Jack Crawford POP

I got really into Hannibal before the final season aired. I loved the first 2 seasons, but it lost me a bit towards the end. But, if you haven't watched it, the first 2 seasons are definitely worth your time.

Guadetama POP

I didn't know about this little Sanrio character before subscription boxes - but now I understand why Guadetama is undeniably cute!

Pop-In-A-Box-March-2017-0015

This is one of my favorite vinyl figure versions of Guadetama - they have a second POP where he's using bacon as a blanket!

Pop-In-A-Box-March-2017-0009

Power Girl POP

The last POP is from DC Comics.

Power Girl is the cousin of Superman. Both hail from Krypton and escaped the planet's destruction in the same manner - Power Girl just took a bit longer to arrive!

Verdict: I've been enjoying this subscription for quite a while now - I've built up my collection to well over 400 POPs! Before subscribing to this, make sure you check out the comments in past reviews since other subscribers have had difficulty with this subscription that I haven't experienced.

I just wanted to put my experiences that I’ve had with the company out there so others can make informed decisions. For Christmas this year my husband decided to get a month of this as a gift to me, we subscribed late February, received our item just fine, and canceled well before the next billing period (we canceled the first week in December). I noticed on my statement I had been charged on January.5th for another month so I went to my account on their website and didn’t see any charge and it said my account wasn’t active. I wrote in and had been told that my item had already shipped but that my account was “now” inactive (never once mentioning why I had been charged for an extra month even though I had canceled or why it didn’t show anything on my account about this months charge. I waited until Jan.28th and when I hadn’t received anything I contacted them, they advised me to wait till Feb. 3rd and if I hadn’t received it by then, to contact them. So, that day came with nothing so I contacted them back. They didn’t once try to explain what had happened, just gave me the options of either a refund or them resending a random funko pop. Not wanting to wait till March for something I paid for in the beginning of January I requested a refund, simple enough, right? I didn’t receive a dime from them till about 5 days ago after requesting the refund on Feb. 3rd. And the money they did refund was $4 less then what I paid them. I was told on three separate occasions that they would “issue a refund immediately”, once even being offered to have it refunded to my paypal instead of the card they took it from. And I didn’t receive any money till I finally filed a complaint to the BBB (and like I mentioned it’s not even for the full amount). So After taking money from my account they shouldn’t have, and with no explanation as to why, or why it wasn’t even on my account. And after 5-6 different instances of communication and a trip to the BBB I have received about 70% of my money back. Oh and I wrote in telling them that they hadn’t refunded ALL of the money being owed and have yet to hear anything from them. This company is BY FAR the worst I have ever had to deal with. A refund is incredibly simple and shouldn’t take more then a few days, so I can only imagine that they had no intentions of giving me my money back. I will never buy from them again and I highly recommend you pay close attention to your bank statements if you do. Even on the BBB site they have an awful record.

I worry so much about Gudetama. He’s going to pop and spill all over. 🙁
