Body Dusting Powder-Lavender & Rose, 5oz - Value $18.33
This luxurious dusting powder is talc free, vegan, cruelty-free and handmade in the USA. I haven’t owned a dusting powder in a long time and this was a welcome addition to add to my beauty routine. The powder has a base of “Arrowroot powder and Tapioca powder”, as well as essential oils and a variety of natural powders. The lavender powder and oil is the prominent scent that I noticed when applying the dusting powder. The instructions indicate using a powder puff to dust my body. I am not sure if a powder puff was supposed to accompany the dusting powder but there wasn’t a powder puff with the product. I used my hands to apply the powder to my body. This was a mess and a powder puff is needed. I will need to search for one.
Included with the dusting powder by Moody Sisters is a mini pamphlet with information on the various products carried on their website and their website address.
Water Resistant Mega Lash - Lengthening & Thickening Mascara in Midnight Black - Value $16.50
This mascara lengthened my lashes without clumping. It is an easy application and the bristles adhered to my lashes to give it length and some volume. Being a mascara junkie I was happy with the application and results. This mascara is natural, water resistant, vegan, soy, gluten, and GMO-free, flake resistant (it didn’t flake) and smudge resistant (it didn’t smudge). Also, my container that the mascara came in had an expiration date of 4-2017 and on the information card there is a correction regarding the expiration, it’s actual 11-2018 and the shelf life, once opened is 3-months.
Pur’ Lips Lipstick-Red in Red Wine - Value $12.95
This semi-matte lipstick is vegan, free of soy, gluten, carmine and FD & C dyes. “Its’s packed with skin loving organic ingredients”. This lipstick has become my favorite. The shade is flattering, long-lasting, moisturizing, and not harmful.
Shea Nilotica Shea Butter, 1 oz - Value $4.00
This 100% certified, organic shea butter is rich, creamy, and moisturizing to my skin. I applied it to my chin and nose, as those areas tend to be drier in the winter months. It’s suggested to apply under your eyes, which I lightly applied under my eye area. It’s said to have anti-aging properties, so we shall see. This shea butter tackled my dry skin, and a little amount goes a long way.
Dried Flower Sachet - Value $3.50?
A small sachet of dried flower buds in a lavender organza bag with a lavender scent. This can be used as a deodorizer for my hamper or drawers or as suggested, an air freshener or an herbal bath soak.
Verdict: My February Satva Box has a value of $55.28. Some of the products were on sale on their company’s website, which is why there is a difference in price compared to the info card. This month’s box was a hit with an even amount of makeup and body products, which I loved. The lipstick, by far is my favorite, another mascara that’s not harmful and shea butter is the best and it’s small enough to fit in my makeup bag. I’m disappointed that the dusting powder didn’t have a powder puff included but overall I am delighted with my box!
