Sci-Fan Block is a block from Nerd Block. It was originally Sci-Fi Block (check out the old Sci-Fi Block reviews) but has now grown to include Science Fiction and Fantasy franchises. They set out to send 4-6 collectibles with an exclusive shirt each month.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review box).

March's box had a theme! The theme was CYBORGS - and hinted at 4 franchises in the box.

Ghost in the Shell Shirt - Value $15?

This month's exclusive shirt features the super-popular, and upcoming movie, Ghost in the Shell. The graphic is huge on the tee, taking up most of the front of the shirt.

Cyborg Martini Shaker - Value $15?

There are two Cyborg bar items this month, the first is a Martini Shaker.

I think this was a good idea, but it's not the best quality. Everything is plastic and doesn't feel like a high-value item - but it's also top-rack dishwasher safe and microwave safe.

Cyborg Bar Mat - Value $5-10?

To go with your shaker, you'll get a Cyborg branded bar towel.

It's got an embroidered Cyborg logo, but other than that, it's a normal towel - but it creates an interesting set that I didn't expect to see in the box.

Star Trek Borg Ship Pin - Value $9.95

This pin is HUGE! It comes in at 2.25 inches tall and features the Borg Cube Ship from Star Trek - easily one of the cooler pins that we have received.

Judge Dredd Travel Pass - Value $13 on Amazon

I was surprised to see a $13 value for this item - I think that's overpriced for sure.

This is just a thin piece os plastic with clear plastic inserts to hold a few cards.

Wild West vs The Future Art Print - Value $10?

The last item in the box is a Westworld print.

Sci-fan-block-march-2017-0010

The print itself is unique - the gun has a bit of a 3D feel since it pops out from the page - it was hard to capture with a picture.

It also came in a protective plastic sleeve to keep it protected during shipping.

Verdict: This box was hit and miss for me. I really want to like the Cyborg shaker, because it's a unique idea, but I think the quality just isn't quite there for me to be really excited about it. But all of the other items, barring the Judge Dredd badge, were unique and high-quality - so, like I said, I'm just torn!
