Draped Pant in Black - retail $45.95 (VIP price: $32.95)
ShoeDazzle has officially released their spring collection and there are so many styles and trends I love. So, this month, I chose two items! The first item is these black harem-style pants. The athleisure trend has been around for awhile, but I've never owned anything like these pants. They are a soft, rayon and spandex blended knit and so comfortable. I immediately started to find ways to wear them casually and dress them up.
Camilla Wedge in Black - retail $59.95 (VIP price: $39.95)
For a night time look, I paired these pants with a black crop top, bold necklace, and my second pick for the month - these faux suede cut-out patterned wedges! Although not one of my original favorites for March, I had to have them because I've been searching for a low-heeled black summer wedge for a couple years now, and these are exactly what I've wanted. They have a 2.25" heel height, which makes them super wearable, day or night.
The pants have an elastic waist with drawstring, so I can adjust the waist easily. The relaxed cut makes them even more comfortable than traditional sweats or yoga pants.
Now, I knew there was a side slit, but I had no idea how high the slit was until I had them on. There is no warning on the ShoeDazzle website that there is literally no side seam, meaning if the wind catches these pants right, you will be completely exposed. I think I may stitch the side seam together to make sure I can wear these without worry. Or, if that's not an option, they will make a great bathing suit bottom cover-up!
The faux suede on these wedges is a bit stiff, so although the overall shoe is comfortable and fits true to size, I can foresee blisters. I am definitely going to wear these around my house before a long day out, to avoid sore feet.
For a daytime look, I kept the top and necklace on, but switched into a casual shoe and layered on a warm cardigan. This will be a perfect outfit for Saturday spring mornings out at the market!
Verdict: I'm enjoying both of this month's ShoeDazzle picks! Both have positives and negatives, but overall I'm happy and know I will get a lot of wear out of both. The total retail value is $105.90, but I paid a VIP price of $72.90 for both (with free shipping), which I am okay with.
