Pumpkin-Batch-February-2017-Info-Sheet

This month, the theme was Sweet Pumpkin Yum.

The Pumpkin Batch always includes a one-page sheet explaining the items and the theme for the month.

Palmetto Paper Co. Pumpkin Themed Greeting Card - Value $4.00

This greeting card works well for the month of February - it would be cute to give to a friend or significant other similarly obsessed with pumpkin spice. Palmetto Paper Co. makes some really cheeky and humorous cards, I'd recommend checking their Etsy page out!

Pumpkin-Batch-February-2017-Cream

MK Styles Soap Goat Milk Body Cream in Pumpkin Crunch Cake, 2 oz. - Listed Value $6.00

This body cream is crafted from goat milk and scented with orange, carrot, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and vanilla. It also has avocado oil, cocoa butter, wax, and vitamin E for emollient properties.

Pumpkin-Batch-February-2017-Lotion

Here's a glance at the actual cream. This cream is very strongly scented. It smells great but it can become cloying. The cream itself is really quite moisturizing. I like it, and wish the company's site was live so I could see about other scents that might be a little lighter scented.

Pumpkin-Batch-February-2017-Shortbread

The Poisoned Apples Pumpkin Shortbread Candies - Value $4.67

I received a pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin spice flavored caramel shortbread candy.

I tried the pumpkin spice latte flavor and it was delicious!

Pumpkin-Batch-February-2017-Syrup-Pancake

Blackberry Patch Pumpkin Spice Premium Syrup, 8 fl oz. - Value $6.99

This syrup is the 'featured goodie' in this box. It is crafted with pumpkin, spices, and of course, lots of sugar! The flavor was great. I enjoyed it quite a bit; the flavor was really authentic and not artificial.

Entenmann's Pumpkin Pancake Mix, 12 oz. - Listed Value $6.00

I had no idea that Entenmann's made pancake mix! I can't find this online anywhere. This is an easy, quick pancake mix, with just adding in milk, eggs, and melted butter.

Here's the prepared pancake mix - I just combined the milk, eggs, and melted butter to the bowl and then added the dry mix.

Here are the completed pancakes. These were quite simple to make, but they did taste a little artificial to me. Even so, they made a quick and easy breakfast!

Verdict: This month's The Pumpkin Batch has a value of about $28. It leaned heavy on the sweet side this month, with the two candies, the syrup, and the pancakes. Overall, I thought it was a nice box for February - the month of Valentine's Day!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

Yummy box! I keep thinking they have to be running out of pumpkin ideas and then the next box is better than the last. I have to get this subscription.

We made the pancakes this morning for my birthday brunch. They were really good with the syrup.

Cornflake

Bekki, if you like pumpkin, there’s a great paleo recipe for them. The main ingredients are pumpkin and eggs, and uses a small amount of coconut flour to hold them together. Of course there are spices, and just a little pure maple syrup to sweeten them a bit. They’re fantastic! And not much more work than that mix from the sounds of it.
