Hunted by Meagan Spooner - Retail Value $17.99 (On Amazon for $9.86)
Book Summary from Amazon:
Though Yeva grew up with the city's highest aristocrats, far from her father's old lodge, she knows that the forest holds secrets and that her father is the only hunter who's ever come close to discovering them.
So when her father loses his fortune and moves Yeva and her sisters back to the outskirts of town, Yeva is secretly relieved. Out in the wilderness, there's no pressure to make idle chatter with vapid baronessas...or to submit to marrying a wealthy gentleman. But Yeva's father's misfortune may have cost him his mind, and when he goes missing in the woods, Yeva sets her sights on one prey: the creature he'd been obsessively tracking just before his disappearance.
Deaf to her sisters' protests, Yeva hunts this strange Beast back into his own territory--a cursed valley, a ruined castle, and a world of creatures that Yeva's only heard about in fairy tales. A world that can bring her ruin or salvation. Who will survive: the Beauty, or the Beast?
I'm so excited about this book! Perfect timing with The Beauty and the Beast live-action movie, and I love a fairy tale retelling! This one is a bit slow to start, but I'm determined to finish it! (And I'm always up for a slow-burn romance!)
And this book came with a matching bookmark.
SockSmith Jane Austen Socks - Value $8
These beautiful socks have a floral pattern and a quote right across the top of the foot:
Bella Adele Co Gold Foil Print - Value $11
This 5x7 inch print has a gold foil design on quality card stock. I'll be framing this and putting it on my bookshelf - I love it!
Nerdy Post Book Hoarder Sticker - Value $2?
I love this book hoarding dragon! Nerdy Post has some of the best designs. (And they have their own subscription box, too!)
Verdict: This box has a value of about $31. (Using the Amazon sale price of the book.) That's just over the cost of the box, which I think is fair for any book box. Also, I know for a lot of readers there is extra value in getting a book that is signed every month!
I'm almost always happy with this subscription. I think the curation is great, and it seems like my taste in YA books is similar to Lisa's so that works out very well!
