Draper James makeup pouch - Value $20?
(I'm estimating value since this is an exclusive item available only in the box.)
It's a good size (larger than your standard ipsy bag), and the material is waterproof so it's great for wiping up any makeup spills.
The inside is lined, too.
Draper James trinket tray (Exclusive) - Value $18
(Price from a similar tray.)
This ceramic tray has a gold accent, and enough depth to make it a good catchall for rings and other small jewelry items:
It measures 3 by 3 inches.
Grab & Go Pony Tube - Value $12
I love this hair tie tube! It's my second set from this brand, and I can confirm that they are great. No hair damage!
Super wearable colors for me, too.
Lipstick Queen Eden Lipstick - FULL SIZE! Value $28
I wasn't expecting this, but there is a little sparkle in this lipstick formula:
It has a semi-sheer, semi-matte finish, so you can dial it back if this is too bold a red for you. Here it is swatched:
(Fortunately for me, the sparkle isn't too noticeable when on.)
Smashbox Indecent Exposure Mascara - FULL SIZE! Value $23
This is my favorite mascara discovery this past month! The formula gave my lashes excellent length, and the lash separation was excellent, too. I was able to apply multiple layers with zero clumping.
(And the wand base is flocked! It feels like velvet!)
Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer - 7.5 ml (Mini) Value $12
This primer is a classic I’ve sampled many times before. The formula feels super smooth on my skin and does a great job of temporarily filling in pores so that they look invisible.
(And I was excited to see that this is over double the size of the regular Benefit POREfessional sample!)
Sunday Riley Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner - 8 ml Value $3.40
Sunday Riley is a luxe beauty brand that doesn't show up in subscription boxes often, so I was excited to try this. It's a toner gel that's designed to absorb oil (shine), and minimize the appearance of pores.
Unfortunately for me, this didn't really mattify my skin. I couldn't notice a difference in shine after using it. (It looks like the reviews on this product are mixed, too. So, it may work for you, but it didn't work for me!)
Living proof. Restore Instant Protection Spray - 60 ml Value $17
I've been using my beachwaver a lot lately, so I'm in need of this product! It provides a fine mist for heat protection for your hair. You can apply it on damp or dry hair, and also reapply to dry hair for SPF protection. The scent is lovely and subtle, and it added no weight to my hair.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O - 100 ml Value $4.40
This makeup remover is fragrance-free, and feels like water on your skin - it's super gentle. It also does a great job of removing makeup! The spout is a perfect size for q-tips, too, if you need some precision removal.
Dr. Jart+ Pore Minimalist Black Charcoal Sheet - Value $7.50
This is the first charcoal sheet mask I've tried, and to be honest, I couldn't tell a difference from this and most other sheet masks! It did leave my skin feeling super hydrated, though!
And lastly, don't forget to add your free mystery sample pack to any Birchbox order of $35 or more!
Here are the two samples I received:
(I won't count these toward the value of the box since the samples vary.)
Verdict: This box has a value of about $145! I think that's a pretty good value for a $58 box. (And even better with the 10% off HELLO coupon code - making this box about $52.) Almost every item is a hit for me, too. (I really love that mascara!)
