ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Teeny Tiny - FULL SIZE! Value $6

Glossybox-April-2017-0021

First, yay for TWO ColourPop products in this box!

Glossybox-April-2017-0022

This shade is described as a gray plum, and that's what it looks like in the tube, but on my lips, it read more as a brown shade.

Glossybox-April-2017-0017

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Monday - FULL SIZE! Value $6

Glossybox-April-2017-0018

This color is closer to my natural lip shade - a cool pink.

Glossybox-April-2017-0019

Here are both lippies swatched:

Glossybox-April-2017-0026

The formulas are great for these liquid lipsticks! As you can see in the swatch, the pigment is fantastic. They also were both long wearing. I found the formula to be a tad drying, but I usually wear a low-shine lip balm over matte lipsticks anyway, so this wasn't a problem for me.

Glossybox-April-2017-0015

Doucce Maxlash Volumizing Mascara - FULL SIZE! Value $22

Glossybox-April-2017-0016

This mascara is solid all around. It provided good length, volume, and lash separation. I give it a B+!

Glossybox-April-2017-0023

Jafra Cosmetics International Paris Et Moi Eau De Parfum - .23 oz Value $7

Glossybox-April-2017-0024

This scent is described as a "blend of juicy Mara strawberry, romantic rose petal macaron, and elegantly enduring creamy silky woods."

Glossybox-April-2017-0025

I'm not much of a perfume wearer, but I kind of like this sweet scent!

Glossybox-April-2017-0010

BeeKind Shower Gel - 1 oz Value $1.50

Both of these BeeKind formulas are free of parabens, phthalates, petrol-derived ingredients, mineral oil, urea, DEA, TEA, and propylene glycol. And a portion of the proceeds go to supporting honey bee and sustainable pollination research at the University of California at Davis Entomology Department.

Glossybox-April-2017-0011

BeeKind Body Lotion - 1 oz Value $1.50

Both the body wash and lotion have the same lovely lemon verbena scent. It's subtle and citrusy - perfect for me.

The lotion formula is lightweight and nongreasy, and the body wash has a good lather, too.

Glossybox-April-2017-0014

Vasanti BrightenUp! Exfoliating Cleanser - .7 oz Value $5.60

Thanks to Birchbox, I've sampled this cleanser a few times before. Fortunately, it's also a great product, so no repeat issues for me. It's gentle enough to use 3-5 times a week, and it makes my skin feel incredibly smooth and clean. I can't say enough good things about this exfoliator/cleanser!

Glossybox-April-2017-0012

Beauty Shampoo - Mystery Bonus Product

Glossybox-April-2017-0013

Beauty Conditioner - Mystery Bonus Product

This month GlossyBox is trying something a little different! In addition to the regular samples, subscribers will receive these two bonus mystery products.

This is a "well-known shampoo and conditioner duo that has recently been reformulated." Subscribers will get a survey on 4/15 to let the brand know what you thought of the items.

They seem like your standard drugstore shampoo and conditioner formulas to me. Fruity scents, and nothing to complain about.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $50. (That's not counting the shampoo and conditioner bonus mystery products.) While that value is on the low end for GlossyBox, it's actually one of my favorite boxes from GlossyBox in a while! I love that we got to try two different ColourPop lippies, and the other products are all good fits for me, too.

I subscribed to Glossy Box after the LLB fiasco in which I never received any of the LLB or Serendipity boxes. I had hoped the GlossyBox would have good customer service. I subscribed to a 3 month GlossyBox subscription on March 31st meaning my first box would/should be the April box, which I have yet to received. I noticed on my account dashboard that it shows my subscription ends in May. This did make sense to me as I should receive April, May AND June boxes. So I emailed GlossyBox, no response. I emailed again a week later and again no response. I purchased the Rituals limited addition box which arrived and I was very pleased with the contents and value but I am questioning the companies lack of customer service which is as important if not more so than the boxes themselves.

I had Glossybox years ago and had no problems. I resubscribed this March of 2017and I have had several problems with glossybox. You can email them with your problems at ” [email protected] ” . It took several days for me to get a responds back but they did solve my problems I had. Unfortunately its not the same Glossybox that I had before.. BUT their price for the amazing items you get in the boxes a well worth it. Gotta have patience 😉

I also subscribed to GlossyBox on March 31st, and received the March box earlier this week. I didn’t mind, actually, since it’s not a bad box.
Also have yet to receive the April box. I was actually charged for the April box before I received any boxes from them at all, also emailed them about it, at this point I doubt they’ll ever respond.
The lack of customer service probably wouldn’t bother me if everything with these boxes functioned smoothly, but it’s definitely an issue when you encounter a problem and there is nothing you can do about it.

2 boxes arrived in the mail today I assumed one of them was the Mother’s Day limited edition box however based on your email I went online and there is no tracking for the Mother’s Day box so perhaps I received March and April boxes which is why they are showing my scription to end with May. I have not opened my boxes yet to verify this but if this is the case it all makes sense, what does not make sense is why they could not answer multiple emails to explain the situation.

Amy

Does anyone want my Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner from the March box? I don’t use that kind of thing.

You might could trade it on the Facebook groups!

I hated those Colour Pops. I got a screaming bright pink and an orange brown. Both horrible colors. They went up on swap first thing. I haven’t tried the mascara yet, but the foot butter is kind of nice. I’ve been hooked on Addictive Apothecary Foot Balm though ever since I got it in my Sugarbash box. The shampoo and conditioner was fine, but no big deal. Something about the scent of the conditioner was unpleasant. This is my 3rd Glossybox and I’ve been finding them just OK. I’ll continue to sub to it for now. I did order the Rituals box and I’m anxious to get that one.

I got mine yesterday and I think this is the all time worst box I’ve ever received.

The Bee Kind smells awful and I normally like lemon verbena. Shower gel made my skin feel dry.

I now hate colourpop and the clown colors.

At least I got 2 March boxes because of that deal a few weeks ago and I loved both of them. That eyecaviar is awesome. I have super sensitive eyes that constantly get irritated and make it difficult for me to wear makeup.

I love vasanti so I’ll use that and the perfume is ok.

Amy

Yes. Worst. Lip colors. Ever.

Anyone try the BeeKind lotion? On me it goes on white. It almost feels like shampoo. It seems to dry my skin. But it doesn’t lather. It smells good, but I think there is something wrong with the formula.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

Colleen,
Mine goes on clear, more like a gel, but it does dry. The smell is OK, like lemon. Maybe yours was expired. E-mail customer service & they’ll probably give you some Glossydots.

Got my box today. I got the Vince perfume which is pretty cute and smells nice. The lip products are a bright fuschia and a brownish orange, both I’ll never wear. I don’t wear anything but a neutral gloss. I’m happy about the mascara, body wash and lotion. I’m very picky about hair products because I have wavy, fine hair that tends to frizz. I think I’ll pass the unknown shampoo and conditioner to my kids.

Any nude lippies your willing to sell I’m here 😁🤗

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

Natalie, which color are you referring to as nude? I have one called Airplane Mode.

Reply ButtonReply

Lin

I got airplane mode too and looovveee it! Before this i had only tried really bold red or dark colorpop lipys which i realized after receiving them i could never pull that amount of pigment off so wrote off the brand but this one is totally wearable and by far my new favoriee nude. Yey to rediscoveries and redemptions!

Donna

I didn’t like my 2 color pop puppies one was really dark brown and the other a really bright fushia 2 unwearable colors for me .the shampoo was ok nothing special mascara was good the perfume didn’t like the scent not worth it for me this month

My glossy box still hasn’t shipped. They took my money on the 4th but it still is in the Pay status. I’m a new subscriber and after reading the mixed reviews, this may not be a box I stick with, especially if I don’t receive it soon.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Be careful because if you don’t cancel by a certain date (the 14th? I would look into that), you are automatically charged for the next month’s box. By the time you receive the April box, it will be too late to cancel May’s.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

I love this box!! I can’t wait to see which lip colors I receive. I love Colorpop so getting 2 lippies and then and eyeliner in Ipsy I am a happy girl.

Reply ButtonReply

Donna

I don’t do matte lipsticks (or if I do I have to use a gloss on top) but these were like pudding to apply. Felt and look horrid to me. Tossed immediately. It was nice to get so many products, but disappointing that the value was low. Glad I got in on the 25% discount. I had cancelled but then resubbed for the discount. Expect to cancelled after my six months are up. Oh well. Still fun to get boxes!

Tanya

I am hoping for the foot lotion and one of the perfumes (preferably the jafra one)!

Reply ButtonReply

Christie

I got the foot lotion and I really like it. I think everyone is getting one of the perfumes.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

Liz, just out of curiosity, what mascara gets an “A” from you?

Also, is the exfoliating cleanser scented?

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Oh! I think I know this one! I think Liz’s favorite mascara is Tarte’s Lights Cameras Lashes. Am I right Liz? 😀 I thought I remembered that because that’s one of my favorite mascaras too!

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

Yes, you are right, Luna! 🙂 I always end up going back to that one!

Ang

I cancelled Glossy box, but was still going to get Aprils box. After seeing the spoilers I’m glad I cancelled. I’m tired of getting the same stuff.

Reply ButtonReply

Steph M

I unsubbed last month. I have been tempted to re-sub so I can order the Mother’s Day Box but I am waiting for a really good BOGO or free gift deal. I can always spend $21 on Colourpop’s website and get quite a few awesome items!

Reply ButtonReply

Kat

I hear Insta50 still works for 50% off your 1st box if that helps 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Natalie

I actually got them to reactivate the code🤗 it ends Sunday!!!!

Victoria

This is my least favorite box so far. Disappointed in the low value. Hopefully next month will be better or it may be time to cancel.

Reply ButtonReply

Jira

I’m with you here 🙁 very low value and not many products I can use. I donate the majority of this box to goodwill.

Reply ButtonReply

Anie

And here I am, hoping my box to be on its way… knowing full well I havn’t been billed yet for this month’s box. *sigh*

Reply ButtonReply

Heather B.

Glossybox has always been one of my favorites until recently. I wish they included more lip products that were pink, nude, or berry and eyeshadow that went better with my skin tone etc. It may be time to say goodbye.

Reply ButtonReply

Bonnie

I got a pink and a nude.

Reply ButtonReply

Jira

I received one of the lipstick in Wednesday which is a bright pink color – already put it up for swap.

Reply ButtonReply

Taren

One of the lip colors IS a pinky nude! Lol

Reply ButtonReply

catbert

They both look too brown to me swatched. Which is a shame, as they were the main reason I subscribed when I saw the initial spoilers. 🙁

Kat

The mystery shampoo and conditioner are Head and Shoulders. Smells and looks the same, and the ingredients match verbatim.

Reply ButtonReply

Darla Gray

There’s to be an emaim revealing it today on April 30th!

Reply ButtonReply

C.J.

My first thoughts exactly

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

I literally just bought a travel size Head and Shoulders for my husband for an upcoming trip, and all I could think when I saw those mystery samples was how much they looked like H&S. I’ve never seen anything else in that shape of bottle before except H&S, the only exception maybe being Pert Plus but years ago. (Apparently that stuff is still around but in a “wavy” bottle – thanks, Google!)

A few years ago, I tried out a “mystery” bottle of body wash that was so obviously Dove. I mean, who else uses that shape?

Reply ButtonReply

Christie

I have to say that I was optimistic when I smelled the shampoo, it has a nice scent, but . . . I thought it was awful. I tried it twice and then tossed it. I felt like it left some sort of film or residue on my hair near the roots but at the same time totally dried out my ends. For reference, I have very long, fine, color-treated hair. I’m relatively picky about my shampoo, my requirements are pretty specific (volumizing while also not drying my hair and color protection is important, too). I gave it an honest shot, even not knowing what it was, but it failed miserably.

Reply ButtonReply

Nikkk

Yeah they just had a sample in my Cosmo mag! Def head & shoulders

Reply ButtonReply

nancyisshopping

OMG! Yes, it must be Head & Shoulders. The UK version of Glossybox contained the same bottle of mystery shampoo (see the picture on this page) and it turned out to be Head & Shoulders.

You can look up the October 2016 UK Glossybox and see the bottle and see the reviews and reveal that it is H &S

Sorry for the double post. I thought my first one was rejected because of the link.

Thanks for letting us know Kate. I’ve been trying to find out what brand they were (some are not good with my hair) and I’m happy to find out its a product I’ll use in the end.

Reply ButtonReply

homesweetgliese

Isn’t H&S a shampoo+conditioner combo though? These are separate.

Reply ButtonReply

Kat

Not all are 2-in-1. Like the ones for shine, volume, etc.

Michelle

Hated the mascara, don’t do matte lip. Compared to other boxes value and curating, this is a fail for me. Last month was great though.

Reply ButtonReply

Jess

I received my box today too. I got airplane which was a nude color and Thursday which was a pinkish purple. And maybe perfume sample was the Vince. The bottle was adorable. I don’t wear perfumes that often either but I’m a sucker for cute tiny bottles to store more for decorating purposes in my guest bathroom. Everything else in my box was same as yours

Reply ButtonReply

Janie

Mine was almost the same as yours except I got some kind of bright pink Colourpop. The perfume smells really good, very light and feminine. I was pleasantly surprised since most perfume samples I’ve received from that brand have smelled very musky or powdery.
