The April Loot Crate DX included mostly Superhero items - it featured Twin Peaks, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Batman!

Loot-Crate-DX-April-2017-0004

Each month comes with an information booklet - I love this month's design.

It opens up to unveil all of the items.

Camera Pin - Value $5-10?

Each month includes a themed pin - this month's pin is a camera.

Twin Peaks Long-Sleeved Shirt - Value $20?

Twin Peaks is represented in the box with a long-sleeved shirt! Green feels like a very appropriate color for the show and Washington state in general. The design itself is simple and effective - I'm liking it!

Batman Finder's Keypers - Value $30 based on non-exclusive Superman statue

This month includes a Batman statue/key holder.

Loot-Crate-DX-April-2017-0020

Batman stands 10 inches tall with a removable keychain at the base.

Loot-Crate-DX-April-2017-0021

Attach your keys to the Bat logo keychain, when you're home - keep your keys attached and store them under Batman!

Overall, the paint job and details aren't the best - but it's also a $30 statue - and it's something that I'd definitely like to see more of in the DX box.

Jessica Jones Messenger Bag - Value $25?

Get ready to carry your laptop in your very own Alias Investigations messenger bag!

It's a basic messenger bag - not a ton of pockets, but it can fit my 15-inch laptop. The big issue - there isn't a way to strap the flap shut, so if you bend over, you could be dropping that laptop right to the ground. That's disappointing!

Loot-Crate-DX-April-2017-0010

Daredevil Card Holder - Value $10?

The last item in the box is a Daredevil card holder.

Loot-Crate-DX-April-2017-0012

I haven't seen a cooler business card holder. Ever!

Verdict: I'm still liking the direction that Loot Crate DX is heading - but I can't help to be disappointed with the messenger bag - it was like it was unfinished. Had there been a securing strap on the bag, this would have been a homerun for me. That being said, I do really like all of the other items this month - so I'm still happy with my box.

Is there a comic reason why they spelled Abogados (the Spanish word for lawyers) as Avocados?

As for the bag, ditto on the suggestions for sewing on Velcro. Or you could find a no-sew magnetic snap kit at JoAnn’s.

Just a joke from the Netflix show – and a name of one of the episodes. Thanks for the bag suggestions!

The keychain added to the statue makes it look cheap. And Jessica Jones actual messenger bag from the show is really cool looking and I’ve seen sold elsewhere for a reasonable price. This one doesn’t look anything like it. It just looks like a cheap bag with the logo added do to it. Kind of a disappointing month.

The keychain doesn’t stay. If you have a product called keyfinders, the product should be able to old the logo/keys. I still like the statue- I got rid of the keychain…

The business card holder rocks….

The statue/key holder would have been better if it was magnetic to hold the keychain in place. Magnets can’t be expensive or hard to do?

Samantha

Overall, I love this month’s box and wish they would sell it without requiring a sub. I especially like the Twin Peaks shirt and Daredevil card holder. It’s a shame the bag doesn’t have something to secure it. Maybe you could iron on Velcro or sew a snap button onto it?

Sewing a snap button makes the most sense – I’m sure that could be done – thanks for the suggestion!
