This month’s theme is “A Sara Thing”. The craft was inspired and designed CEO Sara Douglas and this is the first time the instructions are in color.
This month’s photopolymer stamp set has various sayings and "You" and "Best" are in Sara’s own handwriting, how cool is that!
I would have preferred the stamps in complete sayings such as, “Happy Birthday To”, which is included in the stamp kit, instead of piecing the words together to stamp which made for a tedious task.
Bonus watercolor pencils were also included as a free gift from Sara this month.
There is two water resist patterns that I colored in with the water colored pencils and then applied the paint brush dipped in water to get a blended watercolor effect.
These are the finished cards with the various designs and sayings. This month’s kit has 12 cards with 3 different designs. After I finished the cards, I realized the black and white striped stickers included in the kit were actual stickers, not cardstock which I didn’t catch. I ended up adhering the dimensional stickers to the back giving it a raised effect on the card, which turned out nice.
Verdict: This month’s Paper Pumpkin project has an incredible quality of cards for a $19.95 craft kit. These lovely cards are perfect for any occasion. It was a treat to have a specially curated box by the CEO and to have a colored instruction booklet (I hope going forward the instructions will be in color). There were a lot of steps to this month’s craft but the finished product made it worth it. Also, every month there is a craft tutorial of the monthly kit on YouTube, which is very helpful.
