Scentbird was "born out of frustration with the "perfume graveyard" - expensive bottles of designer perfume collecting dust on your dresser or cabinet - Scentbird was created to provide an alternative that is both practical and exciting." When you subscribe to Scentbird, you'll get a $15.00 "credit" each month to buy a full sized bottle of cologne - this doesn't look like it is cumulative, and seems more like a member's discount.
Scentbird sends out authentic perfume each month in smaller vials for you to try them out, or switch up your scent more often. They also include a twist up perfume atomizer with your first shipment. You can order additional atomizers on their website for an additional fee. I received one this month as well in my men's subscription, but not my women's!

When you sign up, you fill out a survey to determine your scent preferences, and they recommend specific scents for you to try out. You add perfumes to your queue when you find one that you want to try which is how they choose what to send each month. If you don't choose one by the cut-off date, they will send you the scent of the month. Next month it is Fat Electrician by Etat Libre D'Orange.
This month the next cologne in my line up was Black Bold by Kenneth Cole. It has notes of mandarin, ginger, watermint, tonic, cedarleaf, nutmeg, lotus flower, incense smoke, black & blonde woods, suede, violet leaves, soft musks, and ambergris.
Black by Kenneth Cole has long been a favorite of mine, so I was curious to see what this version smelled like. It smells really similar to what the original does, just with a little extra zing! I like it!
Verdict: As far as value goes, all Scentbird vials are the same size, 8 ml, or .27 oz. This particular cologne that I chose has a value of $9.53 (based on Ulta's 1.7 fl oz. size). If value is important to you with this subscription, I would recommend checking the prices on the colognes in your queue to make sure each month will be satisfactory as far as value goes!
For men's colognes, in particular, it is pretty hard to find a smaller size bottle for traveling if you don't want to take all 3 oz. of your cologne in your toiletries kit. The fact that we can choose colognes we like, in a smaller size that we can't find regularly is great. I love Scentbird for this reason! Plus, you get your $15.00 back in a credit in their shop for cologne, even if you don't love your choice for the month!
