When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. It looks like they have done away with listing your preferences on this sheet, but there is an area where they print any notes you have sent to your stylist for this shipment. The only thing printed here is my Pinterest style board, which is what I sometimes send if I am in a hurry and don't have time to write. In any case, I would expect what I receive to be reflective of my tastes, and for these boxes to vary quite a bit from subscriber to subscriber. There is also a note from my stylist, Emma. It explains why she chose the items she picked for me.
This is the invoice of the items they sent me this month. On the right, it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $585.50. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That means a potential discount of $137. That's a deep discount!
Hollice Jacket by Tart Collections - Cost to Keep $184
Here I am, posing with one of my favorite items in the world, my mailbox! Bomber Jackets are universally unflattering on me, and I feel that way about this one, too. The only really cool thing about this jacket is the rose gold zipper, which is beautiful. But, I don't think it's enough to justify the cost of buying a jacket that looks kinda dumpy on me.
Reese Boyfriend NorthRidge Park Jeans by Lucky - Cost to Keep $58 (on sale from $99!)
I absolutely love these jeans! They are flattering and comfortable! The only problem is that I have several pairs of jeans just like these, so I'm not really in the market for more. On the other hand, that's a really great price for this brand!
Hooded Long Sleeve Top by Hayden LA - Cost to Keep $58
Oh my gosh, I love this tunic! I adore the color and the style is just perfect for me. It's a very soft cotton knit. Plus check out these details:
I love the tassels so much! And the texture of the side panels and hood! I think this might be my favorite item in the box!
Slim Flare Blissful by Melissa McCarthy for Seven7 - Cost to Keep $59 (on sale from $98!)
These jeans are also ON SALE! That's a great price for this brand, too. These jeans have the perfect dark wash for me, and I find Seven7 jeans to be really flattering in general. My problem with flares is that although I love them when the jeans are too long (as these are), the flare will never be in the right place, even if I get the jeans hemmed. If they were an inch or two too long it would be okay, but these are seriously maybe six inches too long. (I rolled these under for modeling purposes). I also think I am in jeans overload at the moment.
Floral Shift Dress by Janette - Cost to Keep $49
I love a nicely cut shift dress! This dress is flattering, fits well, and has these cute tie details at the sleeves. The price is right, too!
Classic Western Shirt Sherman by Lucky - Cost to Keep $79.50
I usually love all things Lucky Brand, but not this. I just have never liked western shirts, simple as that. I don't think this color is particularly flattering on me, either. Plus it might be a tad small.
I do really like the pearl snaps, though. What a cute detail!
Woven Topper by Melissa McCarthy for Seven7 - Cost to Keep $98
This is cute and somehow kind of slimming! I'm really not sure about the print and all that material, though. The material is a pretty heavy poly blend, too, and I'm not sure how well that would bode for the warmer months we are heading into.
Verdict: I am really loving my Wantable Style Edit! I am so happy they sent seven items again this month! I am also thrilled that they keep sending me items that are ON SALE - two of my favorite words! This month I love the Hayden LA tunic, the dress, and the Lucky jeans. There was a mix of hits and misses, but that's almost always the case with any styling box. Wantable Style is fast becoming one of my favorite boxes all month.
