Do we know what time this goes on sale? It should be today, right?

I mean not the presale but a single box…

Call me crazy, but I really miss getting deodorant in these boxes. Sure, press on nails are useful to some, but deo is important to all of use. Come on Allure, we know you read this site.Liz, thank you,you truly are the best and are always honest. I won’t buy any box unless I read what you have to say. 🙂

This use to be such a great box I couldn’t wait for it to come out now I could care less. It has become such a disappointment I might consider purchasing if it was $25 because that is about all it is worth to me in my opinion. A lot of that stuff you can purchase at a discount. Come on Allure bring back your old style Beauty Thrills Boxes that were packed with all kinds of goodies!!!

Did you notice the price of the presale? $199.99 plus three shipping of $5.99 each. They state that is a total of $223.95. Not only are they not good at sending new items for us to try but they are also not good at math!

Three boxes plus the October Breast Cancer bonus – the math ends up good, I think. But they don’t mention there is sales tax, too. 🙁

Do Allure Beauty Box people see these comments? They should and really heed them as they will continue to lose business and reputation as the quality of their products deteriorate.

I made the mistake of doing the pre sale last year. I counted 15 products from those past 3 boxes. I still have the Wen cream somewhere in the house. No one likes the smell. No way is worth 80 dollars!

Jen
Has anyone ever tried the wen thirteen body cream that is on the list? Lemon and vanilla bean sound like it would smell awesome but rosemary hmm? Plus it’s like an $80 value alone…same wen as the hair care wen? I still use wen hair care. My hair is long and thick and it really helps keep it super shiny.

Phoebe
I have two jars of the Wen body cream. I love it! Not worth $80 but I would pay maybe $40. I won’t use anything on my hair except Wen products.

Kathy
WEN has many lawsuit. No way would I use that on my hair. 80$ seems like a extremely bloated price!

I’ve never purchased this box and am unfamiliar with several of these brands. Is this mostly drugstore or high end items?
Reply
kathy
They are calling these full-sized items, many are not full-sized. Not sure how they can say that
Reply
Lisa
It use to be high end but now it’s more drug store. Unfortunately the last few boxes have lots of repeats. If you have never purchased it and think you will use most of the items, I say go for it.
For me there are only 6 items I would use for sure. Plus I still have a huge container with stuff from past boxes.

So 4 boxes….good. But apparently our first box will basically be December 2016’s box with a few differences. Works out to about $56 a box with tax/shipping. It’s not a bad price, but that repeat box is just wrong.
I’m not sure why they are keeping the Thrills box alive if this is the best they can do.

Oh wow — it’s worse than we thought. Now that the link is active to pre-order the whole year, they have pictures of all the items in the next box and it includes TWO DIFFERENT KINDS of press on nails! No thanks!
Disappointing, I remember when this box was mostly high-end products. Easy pass for me.

I just got the pre-sale email. Evidently there will be four boxes this year and you can pre-purchase all four for 199. After tax it comes to somewhere around 225. No extra shipping charges and no extra added on to be able to guarantee the boxes.

Betsy
I was billed for shipping of 4 boxes, close to $250 for my preorder through my link as a subscriber on the regular boxes. 🙁

what the heck?!?! They would do better with me to have 21 items and leave these ridiculous press on nails on the floor than to keep including them. The inclusion of the press on nails is why I didn’t buy the last box. It makes the whole box feel cheap in product rather than cheap in value.

I think I’m getting over my FOMO. These 3 items were in the last box right? I think the press on nail design is exactly the same too!
As someone mentioned, if they do an incentive for pre buy they may get more people to bite, but as I sit here looking at my unused nails from the last box I think I’m out.

Even though I have ridiculed these uninspired boxes in the past, I always seemed to get sucked in when they offer the prior box for $25 with the purchase of the current one. And free shipping on box 2, no less. But I think even if they offer that again this time, I’m still going to pass. This box has become one big groundhog day. Groundhog day in Walgreens.

They really need to change the name of this box! The products, so far, hold absolutely ZERO allure and I have had more of a thrill from getting a BOGO burger coupon in the mail!
Reply
Kathy
With all these passes, maybe we can get a good BOGO or something like that by the time the second one appears.

That’s so funny, I was hoping for that too…but just think, since some of these items have already been around for about a year (dating back to the Summer 2016 box). I’m thinking some products are bound to expire or smell or whatever by the time they get around to selling and shipping the next box.
Although by the time the next box rolls around, I’ll probably only have about dozen unopened chapsticks and press on nails left in my stash pile, so I’ll be itching to restock!

Lily
Yes, the value might be more than $50, but this is when you have to stop and ask yourself, “how many of those items do I need, want, don’t already have?” Easy pass!

I’m done with this, allure monthly box and I think target box too!!

Ok I laughed because I literally posted about the last set of press on nails before this spoiler lol the first round of spoilers was nice. Been downhill ever since. Toothbrush, toothpaste, hair ties….must be next round lol
Wish they’d go back to how they use to be.

SBR
They should have stopped after the first round of spoilers. Isn’t this the 4th exact duplicate from December? Hair oil, simple cleanser oil, wen, and rituals… I guess, we know where the leftover December products went…

I used to get so excited for this box! I’m just not gonna pay $60 bucks for more press-on nails. And why am I 95% certain the remaining 10 items include a tooth brush or toothpaste and hair band of some sort? Bummed because I was looking forward this box after not buying the terrible December box.
What ever happened to the incredible high-end serums, and wasn’t this the box that introduced me to IT CC cream? PLEASE ALLURE, go back to being….ALLURING!
Reply
Tjhanna
Yes! Because of this box (well the old box) I’ve now purchased about 30 IT foundations and 10 tarte mascaras.

Oh no ..past the half point and only 10 items left…id say more like 5 actually after you count the toothbrush, paste, drugstore soap, hairbands, not your mothers hair product that are most likely to reappear. Not looking good 😣
And yeah, i counted 5 of decembers (18) items in this box..and with lipbalm->6/18 (though different brand). I would already call this a repeat box. Bummer

I’ve just received the pre-sale offer and you’re spot on. The remaining items include yet more press on nails, Not Your Mothers Dry Shampoo and Invisbobble hair ties…oh, and the spinbrush and toothpaste …lol

Hmm… The first spoiler got me quite interested but then it just went downhill since…
Fingers crossed for a good round 5, otherwise, I’ll probably just spend money on FFF add ons. That is if they come out with good ones of course
