While Benevolent Beauty Box usually adds a folded sheet that lists the details of each featured item, I couldn’t find one in my box this time. Instead, there’s a $10 off coupon for Rosemira purchase.
On the back, there’s a little information about Rosemira. Their products are made from the purest ingredients, plant extracts, vegetable and nut oils, and high-quality essential oils.
From a quick look at their website, the owner of the brand, Mira Herman, is a chiropractor and an acupuncturist, with certified credentials in herbal medicine, nutrition, and Chinese medicine. She uses her knowledge in chemistry and her passion towards skincare to develop a great skincare formula without any preservatives and harmful chemicals.
All products featured in this box are Vegan (except for the moisturizer and eye cream), Paraben free, Toxin-free, Preservative free, Gluten free, and Cruelty-free.
Now, onto the items!
Rosemira Aloe and Pink Grapefruit Gel Cleanser - FULL SIZE! 120ml, Value $44
According to the Rosemira website, this cleanser is gentle enough to use twice a day and is made of natural ingredients like Aloe vera gel, Olive leaf, Plantain leaf, and Argan oil. It has a fresh citrusy scent, which I love!
I’ve been using this cleanser for a few days, morning and night, and I have to say that this is the best smelling cleanser I’ve ever used! I can’t help but take a deep breath every time I wash my face with it. The cleanser is gentle and leaves my skin moisturized afterward. However, it couldn’t remove my eye makeup and mascara like it claims, so I needed to use a makeup remover before using this cleanser. Still, I think it’s a great cleanser for the morning, as the grapefruit scent really wakes me up!
Rosemira Citrus Melody Balancing Toner - FULL SIZE! 50ml, Value $39
I can never get enough of this toner! It’s a combination of Citrul Hydrosols and Essential oils, so you have to shake the bottle to mix them up before usage.
I also refrigerate it for a cooling effect.
I use this toner after cleansing and it totally soothes and calms my skin. The orange blossom scent is refreshing, but a tad bit too strong for my liking. It absorbs quickly and I feel like the serum absorbs better after using this, too.
Rosemira See Me C Repair Serum - FULL SIZE! 10ml, Value $52
This serum is a blend of Marula and Pomegranate seed oils, Frankincense and Rose essential oils, and Citrus essential oil blend. I’m excited to try this luxurious serum because each ingredient is well known for its anti-aging and antioxidant properties. In addition to that, it smells like honey lemon!
I use 2 drops of this serum, which is enough to cover my face and neck as recommended. It takes some time to absorb - similar to One Love Organic Serum. My skin feels soft and supple afterward, but I think I have to continue using it a bit more to see any improvements.
Rosemira Moisturize Me Citrus Restorative Cream - FULL SIZE! 30ml, Value $45
This product is one of the two items that are not Vegan because it contains organic beeswax and lanolin. It’s a rich cream with orange blossom scent, similar to the toner above. The brand recommended it for people with oily skin and those who are prone to acne because it helps balance oil production.
A small card that came with this moisturizer stated that some citrus essential oils in this product may cause photosensitivity, so refrain from sun exposure or use SPF if you are using this product as a day cream!
It came with a small spatula which can be used to scoop the product out of the jar and to stir the cream if separated. (They avoid stabilizers, so the cream may be separated with time or temperature fluctuations.)
To be honest, I wasn’t a big fan of this cream when I first applied it. It leaves my skin very oily and sticky. I went to bed thinking that I hated this cream, but to my surprise, I woke up and noticed that my skin was a lot less oily than usual. (Normally, the area around my forehead and my nose get oily the moment I wake up.) It didn’t dry out the area around my cheeks, which is also a big plus. I am quite happy with the result, but I don’t think it’ll work as a day cream for me.
Rosemira Citrus Blossom I-Restore Eye Cream - FULL SIZE! 15ml, Value $40
This product is one of the two items that are not Vegan because it contains organic beeswax. It’s designed to smooth, tone, and brighten the under eye area. Again, this product has a light, citrusy scent and a rich texture. You have to keep in mind that a little goes a long way.
The texture of this eye cream is similar to the moisturizer I mentioned above and the finish is a little oily. The cream glided on smoothly around my eye and I didn’t get any irritation afterward. I am more than happy to add this eye cream into my skincare routine in hoping that the fine lines around my eyes will be less visible in the future.
Verdict: While the price of this box may seem high, the total value adds up to $220, which is almost 3 times the cost of the box! I really like the idea that we get to try the whole skincare line from an ingredient-conscious, luxury, organic brand! Especially with this collaboration where everything is full sized and is tailored to my skin type. This way I get to know if the brand and their product are right for me. The gel cleanser has become my new favorite cleanser because it’s natural, organic, and smells so good! (I’m looking at you Juice Beauty - and your grassy smelling cleanser >:( )
I can’t wait to see which brands Benevolent Beauty will introduce me to in the future!
What do you think about Benevolent Beauty & Rosemira Special Edition Box? Which brand would you like to see in the next collaboration?
