Candy Club is a candy subscription that sends 2-3 pounds of premier, brand name candy to you each month. Each delivery contains 4 different types of candy which you can choose yourself or leave as a surprise.

I’m subscribed to the custom box, which allows me to select my three main candies every month. (FYI- I’m able to choose three out of the four candies I receive in every box. The loose, individually-wrapped candies are always a surprise.)

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Each candy used to have its own information card with a photo of the candy, its name and on the reverse side nutritional information and an ingredients list. The last few months I’ve been missing cards for some candies.

Albanese Cappuccino Biscotti Bites (buy a 1 lb. bulk package for $6.99)

I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be able to order chocolate since it will be getting warm here in New Jersey soon so I wanted to take advantage of our mild May. These bites were very crispy and reminded me of the texture of a malted milk ball. I didn’t get any cappuccino flavoring though. They just tasted like a chocolate covered cookie piece. They were ok, but not my favorite.

Dorval Sour Power Strawberry Apple Belts (buy a 6.6 lb. bulk bag for $47.70)

I really enjoy sour belts and wanted to try this flavor which I’ve never had before. They pack a very sour punch and are fresh and chewy. I like the sugary coating on the outside and the strawberry/apple flavor.

Fini Sour Tornado Bites (buy 1 lb. for $3.95, 3 lbs. for $11.25, or 5 lbs. for $17.25)

These bites are chewy on the outside with a fluffy sour middle that has an almost powdery consistency inside. They have a fruity flavor and just a couple definitely satisfy a sweet craving for me.

Sweet’s State Fair Mix Salt Water Taffy (buy 3 lbs. for $8.95)

State Fair Mix salt water taffy was the loose uncustomized candy this month. The taffy was firm and chewy, without being too sticky. The flavors were red licorice, cotton candy (which was sent last month by itself), buttered popcorn and bubble gum. My favorite of the four flavors was definitely the cotton candy and I was glad to get more.

Verdict: I have to say what a treat it is having a box filled with brightly colored candy show up on the doorstep! I don’t know who was more excited to open the box, me or the kids. It’s hard to put a value on this subscription since gummy candy in bulk could be bought cheaper, but I found this comparable to what I would pay at the fancy loose candy shop at our local mall and much more convenient. I was happy to see more Sweet’s Taffy this month and I enjoyed most of the candies I self-selected. This box always brings us a smile!
