Thanks to shoppergirll for sharing this update with us from SoChoix:

We sincerely apologize for the frustration and are working hard to resolve all issues. We want to make things right where we can but unfortunately there are legal claims to our assets from specific creditors, and this process will take some time.

In the meantime it is highly recommended that you reach out to your credit card company for assistance in addressing the issue. Ask for a chargeback and they should reverse the transaction since you did not receive the goods you paid for. Sorry for this inconvenience but this will be the quickest and easiest way for you to receive your money.

We hope this information helps and thank you for having been a part of this journey with us.

So Choix

If you have an existing subscription with So Choix, file a chargeback with your bank to get your money back. So Choix will NOT be sending refunds.

Check your credit card statements! I got charged again as a repost of disputed transaction even after I disputed the charge! They disputed my dispute! I had to contact my credit card company AGAIN to get it taken off! So mad I ever signed up with them!

This is why I will suck up the extra cost and do month by month subs only.

Do you know what state Little Lace box was from so I can complain to that state’s attorney general? They cost me the monies from 2 new subscriptions, mine and a gift and with all the delays and excuses, it was too to get any charge back from my credit card.

Kissimmee, Florida. This company is 30 minutes from where I live.

Sorry if this posts twice:

Have any of you compared the So Choix samples you received to the full sizes? I’ve heard there have been issues with the two not matching up.

Alice

Can anyone confirm this?

I heard that some recipients of recent, delayed boxes compared the samples to the full size the product was supposed to be and it did NOT match up.

I don’t know if this is true or not but have any of you done the same? If SC was truly sending “replacements” without indicating it, then I have no doubt whatsoever they got hit with a lawsuit. If people think a “Nars” product was awful only to find out it was CoverGirl, WHOO. imagine that mess!

^all speculation, I’m not a subscriber, but I’m following the drama. Please don’t attack me :/

I am very confused. How are they cancelled? All they are saying in the letter is that they are shipping two weeks late. I found this to be true after I was sent the email above. They are very much operable. So, what’s with the headline and no context?

Alice

Go on Instagram and look up the #sochoix hashtag. They have sent paper letters explaining the company is insolvent.

Okay. Thanks. Without that info this post looks strange. lol

It seems like companies either plan on going under knowing we can’t get refunds or they go all in with no concern for the future of their business. Either way, very frustrating.

If your bank tells you it is too late the charge back (or you have been negatively affected in any way) there is one possible option that has not been discussed yet: File a complaint with the California Attorney General’s Office here: https://oag.ca.gov/contact/consumer-complaint-against-business-or-company

They were a California company, you do NOT have to be a California resident. In my experience, the Attorney General’s Office takes these complaints VERY seriously and will investigate. There is no guarantee you will get your money back, but at least this will put on record that you are entitled to. If there are enough complaints and evidence of wrong-doing, they may be able to start an investigation.

SoChoix should not be allowed to get away with not issuing refunds to those who are entitled to them.

Gee sounds just like LLB.

Kelly

What is LLB?

Little Lace Box

Except LLB flat out lied and said they’d issue refunds, then didn’t…and then when people filed with their credit cards LLB disputed the chargebacks, again blatantly lying and saying they’d fulfilled their subs!! Head over to the MSA Forum if you want an earful about LLB’s unscrupulous behavior. At least it appears that So Choix is being honest about their situation…

Right?! I guess I dodged a bullet with this one, LLB was bad enough

Liz, did you get the email I sent you with a picture of the letter I received from them yesterday? Please feel free to share, it doesn’t have any personal info on it.
