This month highlighted the more sinister side of the Harry Potter universe - it focused on The Dark Arts and the more evil characters that come with it.
Each month comes with an information card. Even though it's a fake wax seal, the presentation is still pretty great.
This is the first month that the information sheet wasn't in scroll form. Open up the letter to reveal your items.
Tom Riddle's Diary Pin - Value $5-10?
This month's pin features a little more than just an enamel pin.
You'll get the diary along with the Basilisk tooth hanging from a chain - go ahead and stab that Horcrux!
This is my favorite pin from this subscription so far - it's just the little extra details that make it fun.
Percival Graves Shirt - Value $15?
This month's shirt features the latest villain in the Harry Potter Universe - it's Percival Graves from Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
This exclusive design features Percival along with a saying that will make sense once you watch the movie!
Azkaban Pouch - Value $15-20?
This accessories pouch has a design that will be instantly recognizable to Harry Potter fans everywhere:
It's smaller than you might think - it measures 8.5 x 3.5 - but I think this can work well in a purse, or even in the car.
Chamber of Secrets Stationary Set - Value $15-20?
The next item is for sending friends important messages.
You'll receive 11 envelopes with a wax stick and wax seal stamp.
Both the envelopes and stamp have the same crest.
Warm up some wax and stamp away!
Professor Umbridge 'Frolicsome Feline' Plates - Value $10-15?
The last item in this month's box is a set of 4 plates from the Professor that frustrated you the most - Professor Umbridge.
They take inspiration from the gif above and feature her favorite animal - cats!
These are plastic so they're hand wash only and NOT microwave safe.
Verdict: I'm torn on this month's Wizarding World Crate - on one hand, I think all of the designs were unique and fun, on the other, there's not a ton that is super useful to me - so I feel like I'll be giving a fair amount away. Overall, I like the designs - so I'm hopeful for better and better boxes moving forward.
What do you think of the May 2017 'Dark Arts' J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World Crate?
