Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box for geeks and gamers. Each month they include themed collectibles and shirts - they've moved towards a mostly exclusive model - so you can't get most of these items/variants anywhere else!

May's theme was GUARDIANS!

Loot Crate kindly sent us this box to review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Every month has a different theme, and May's theme was GUARDIANS. It features franchises like Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Goonies, Destiny, and Avatar: The Last Airbender!

You'll get an information booklet with every delivery.

Inside, you'll find details about every item in the box.

Recently, Loot Crate started their Secret Order of Keys puzzle as well.

Inside, there will be puzzles to solve and submit on your Loot Crate account - solve the month's questions and you'll get bonus loot the next month.

Avatar: The Last Airbender Pin - Value $5?

This month's exclusive pin features Avatar: The Last Airbender. With every Loot Pin, you'll also get digital bonus loot!

This month's bonus loot is a copy of Rocket Raccoon #1 and Groot #1 on ComiXology! This month, I received an email with my exclusive code to redeem my comics!

The Goonies Shirt - Value $15?

Each month always includes an exclusive shirt and this month's shirt features the popular Goonies saying - The Goonies Never Say Die!

I'm a fan of the simple design this month - couple that with featuring an old favorite, and this month's shirt is a keeper.

Rocket and Groot QFig - Value $15-20?

Loot Crate has been sending out some great QFig figures recently, this month is no different - the hero item of the month is this Rocket and Groot Vinyl Figure!!

If you're a vinyl figure collector like myself - you're going to love the QFig line. To me, it's the perfect mix of fun design like POPs and realistic sculpting.

Baby Groot is so good in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - in pretty much every scene.

The opening scene of this movie is pure fun - go see it if you haven't!

Star Wars Coloring Book + Pencils - Value $10?

Adult Coloring Books are a recent and really popular stress relief activity - so this month, Loot Crate included a Star Wars book.

The book has 15 pages, front and back, of abstract and stock photos to color.

They also included 6 coloring pencils and a sharpener to get you started.

Destiny Patch Set - Value $10-15?

The final item in the box is a 3-patch set featuring all of the Destiny classes.

Rep the class of your choice in real life. I like that they did include all three, so everyone gets theirs - and you can gift other classes to friends.

And, to go along with your class patch...

Cut out the box to create your own Ghost from Destiny! You will definitely need a razor blade or scissors to do this projects - there are a decent amount of intricate cuts.

Verdict: This month comes down to the shirt and vinyl figure - both of which, I love - so it's a win for me. I'm not a big adult coloring book fan - so I was a little let down the coloring book was the Star Wars item - but with the popularity of adult coloring books, I can see why it might be well received - but probably not from the core fans.

Don't forget - prices increase tomorrow, May 24th, for pretty much everything other than a 1-month core crate subscription,  so if you're thinking of a longer length subscription - now is the time to do it. Hopefully, we'll get better shipping and more cool loot from the increases. Fingers crossed.

We were told several Months ago they would send us bonus loot with our next crate. Next crate they did not send any. They will now probably say they put MAY win after they recently changed it. It clearly said WILL receive. Will not ever get Lootcrate again until I receive the two bonus loot pieces promised.

This month’s box was so great!! I love how simple The Goonies T-Shirt is, yet people still know right away its of The Goonies! I’m actually wearing it right now. I’m also a big fan of coloring, so I was excited to see the Star Wars book!

I am loving that Q-fig! But then again I love me some Rocket and Groot and I really like Q-figs (even more than Pops…I know that’s probably sacrilegious to some).

I love QFigs too, maybe not more than POPs, but it’s a solid 1B favorite for me, too.
