MyIrelandBox tends to provide great information with their products. I'm eager to read what they've come up with this month!
As usual, I appreciate all of the information this box provides about its items. I've mentioned before how the items in these boxes can feel a bit ordinary, or similar to things I can find in the states. A little context helps them feel more special and prove their authenticity.
There are three items in the box this month (the minimum number of items is one, so it's a smaller box).
Wood and Crystal Hanging Suncatcher - Value $31.32
I'm totally smitten with the first item—this dreamy crescent-moon-shaped art piece. It comes tied on hook-secured fishing wire, so that the wooden moon looks almost like it's floating.
The crystal catches the light so beautifully and even splatters the light back in colorful speckles that dance around the room. This piece is smooth and solid and just darn pretty!
A Box for My Treasure Bracelet - Value $30.20?
I couldn't find this exact design on the site shop, so I linked to something similar!
This bracelet is about 7 inches long and has a bit of an extender chain, so my wrist doesn't have to feel strangled. I don't know how I feel about this piece. I like the simplicity of the design, but there's something a bit juvenile about it... Maybe it's the green beads mixing with the super bright, light silver? Either way, it comes very very close to being something I'd love. But that's not to say I won't hang onto it as something I really like!
Postcard - Value $1.00?
Just guessing at the price here, since I wasn't able to find it online. I always feel weird sending people place-specific postcards when I haven't been/just am not currently there. It's a nice image, though.
The back has some info on the artist as well as space to write your address and leave a stake.
Verdict: I liked this MyIrelandBox, and the almost $63.00 value I estimated stays true to their promise to match or exceed $45.00. I will say that having a postcard (not even a greeting card) as a third item made me feel like I was being shortchanged. The other two pieces were nicer both in terms of quality, uniqueness, and usefulness, so it made the postcard seem underwhelming. I thought this box was okay, but I don't know if it was worth its full cost—the box itself is $45.00, and with shipping that's a lot to pay for some decor and accessory items!
