Ah hell naw! I won’t even use one click checkout on Amazon which I order from almost daily. I like to scrutinize my shopping cart. 😜

I signed up and received a text for a mini Kat Von D lipstick. I replied yes and received an email confirmation of purchase which was free. Yes, I agree there should be more info on the purchase and it does seem to cater for impulse purchases but also a quick and easy way to make a purchase especially if it’s an item you’ve heard about. I look forward to seeing future texts and what it entails.

Great I should have read the comments first because I already put in my phone number. 😱

No thank you!
I can see the robo callers multiplying by the hundreds with this “feature”.
How many lists with my number on it will get sold to third parties?

This is absurd! Do they really expect people to make a purchasing decision based on a photo and nothing else? Slow your roll, PopSugar.

It is obvious they are trying to capitalize on impulse buyers, who will be very tempted to say YES to an item which will probably be much cheaper if they do their research.
Aside from the HUGE danger of this ridiculous proposition, I find the info on the pic laughable. It just shows a pair of sunglasses without adding important info as the brand, UV filtering, materials… If they sell, say, a body product, adding ingredients is important. Can you imagine the length of that text?
I think this is geared to impulse buyers of, to put it nicely, PSMS leftovers.

I honestly thought this was an April Fool’s Day post… but then I remembered it’s May 2.
Seems like a horrible idea all around. I doubt there are very many customers who will willingly ask to have an unending stream of advertisements sent to them via text message. I really don’t understand the value proposition to the customer unless these offers are HIGHLY discounted, but that information is not included in any of the marketing materials.
