A variation in the December box, which is listed as the holiday box, were some under eye masks that cost $400 for 12 pairs. Anyone remember those? I broke out in a rash when I used it.

The UNANI – Illuminate Milk Cleanser from the Staycation Weekend Box is by far the best product introduction I have had from Glossybox so far. It’s a really beautiful, milky cleanser that is so perfect for my dry sensitive skin. I absolutely love the way it smells too, very light and clean. I imagine it’s what having ones face cleansed at a spa might smell/feel like.

At the checkout, under the terms of agreement, the red box doesn’t say ” place order”. It says become a subscriber. I don’t want to subscribe again.

They don’t change their button. The subscribe button means place order. It doesn’t subscribe you if you are only getting a one-time box.

It seems Glossy was inspired by PopSugar’s recent campaign to clear out its past inventory at a discount.
All these glossy products and boxes are from 2016 at the earliest. Like not sure about the other three, but the Tony Awards one is from June 2016, the Absolute Necessities one is from September 2016 and the Holiday one is from December 2016. So these products are at least 6 months old and in some cases 1 year old and maybe even older.

No, Glossybox does these sales of past boxes two or three times a year. The products are good. The sour note here is the nonsense about the Harajuku perfume – they claimed that they didn’t have enough for subscribers, but all of a sudden they have leftovers. That’s the rub.

No, you have no basis for stating these are “good”.
Glossy had a near expired Tarte sunscreen in a recent box. You have no idea how old these products already were when Glossy first put them in the box and you have no idea how old they are now.

I ordered the Absolute Necessity box. I’m a sucker for a perfume mini. I already had the Vince Camuto in Ciao so I’m happy to get one in Capri. The bottles are too cute. The blue box design is so pretty. And I will use every thing else so for $15 it’s a great deal.

I went ahead and bought the Holiday, Celebrate box. I’m not a subscriber, so it is nice to give it a try. And I love trying new perfumes. I just hope it comes with the products in the description (the box showed in checkout is a little bit different, and that box had variations when it first came out)

Really? They didn’t have enough to send the Harajuku lovers perfume to send to all subscribers in December, but now they’re putting leftovers in discounted boxes? That’s just rude. And the kind of business practice that made me cancel my subscription back then.

And they had set aside 500 cologne for new subscribers and still didn’t have enough for those of us who paid $21 a month. I hope whoever orders that box actually gets the cologne instead of two mini cleansers totally $1.13 in value. If I ordered that’s probably what I would get again.

Yeah, NOT only that, I WAS a subscriber, started an account for my daughter as a gift because the perfume is nostalgic for her, as it was one of her FIRSTS as a little girl, and I bought an ADDITIONAL box JUST to get the Harajuku Lover’s Perfume that was one of the “only 500 left for new subscribers” and it did NOT have the Perfume in it! I was mad enough to not only email (which always proves fruitless) I also CALLED! They claimed no one was guaranteed to get a perfume in any box , anywhere, period. 😑 I was both irritated and happy to see them on sale for $15 as “leftovers”. Poor business practice, to be sure!

Yeah, my first thought also. I was pretty tempted to get a box now just to finally get the perfume, but then I thought about my brief experience as a subscriber, and nope. I actually disputed the year-long sub based on the swap they did with the perfume (items not as described/false advertising). I was only 2-mo into the sub, so my cc granted it.

FYI, the “become a subscriber” is just the standard button for any order, including one-time or limited edition orders. Ordering a single box will definitely NOT make you a subscriber!

I have never been a subscriber and I just ordered a box. The final “subscribe” button appears to be for their newsletter. I checked my account after ordering and it says “There are no active subscriptions at the moment.”

The language at checkout states “I authorize Glossybox to charge my payment method for all initial and automatically recurring charges, if applicable.”

This should not start a subscription. Here are their terms:
Available while supplies last. Past boxes are a separate charge from the recurring subscription plans. The sale price is not applicable to previously purchased orders. No promotional codes can be applied to a past box order. Maximum 5 boxes per order allowed. GLOSSYDOTS not valid on purchase of past box. All sales are final, non-refundable, non-exchangeable.

The language is very confusing including the confirmation. I do hope it’s only standard language and won’t start a subscription- if it does then I would just have to cancel. I got the Holiday, Celebrate box. Thank you Liz!

I wanted the royal treatment box ,but evidently you must become a sub to get one of these boxes. If anyone know different let me know , i had Glossybox for a few months and wasn’t impressed. (Except for the actual box)
