Project Lingerie is a U.K.-based women's fashion subscription solely dedicated to sending you new lingerie styles each month. The company strives to satisfy their "3 C's", which are "confidence" (lingerie should make its wearer feel fantastic), "comfort" (they only send out styles that they themselves have tested and determined are functional as well as beautiful), and "convenience" (pieces are sent straight to your door, and online advice is there to help).
I love snazzy lingerie, but shopping for it isn't my favorite process. Shuffling through racks of different styles trying to find my size takes awhile and gets overwhelming fast. And I always feel a little awkward shopping for lingerie at the mall. Handing a skimpy pair of undies to a fitting room attendant? Not always the most comfortable situation. Getting pieces curated for me in the mail, though? That seems way less intimidating.
Project Lingerie has three subscription levels:
The Basics: one comfy pair of cotton, microfiber or seamless undies every month for $19.29 per month (14.99 GBP) or less with longer commitments.
Pretty Everyday: a pretty pair of lace, mesh or frilly undies every month for $25.73 per month (19.99 GBP) or less with longer commitments.
Deluxe: a piece of nightwear, a matching bra set, or an all-in-one piece (may include suspender belts and hosiery) for $51.47 per month (39.99 GBP) or less with longer commitments.
This is a review of the Deluxe ($51.47—39.99 GBP—per month) subscription.

This little card tops the box. I like the positive, confidence-inspiring tone of this subscription.
Here's the back of the card.
There's also this little message.
It's the company's first birthday, which means there's a special gift inside this box, too! Hooray!
Tara Brief from Bluebella - Value $20.00
I was immediately really excited about the neutral color palette and modern vibe of the pieces in this set. My style is definitely more sleek and understated than flowery and frilly. These sheer undies feature panels of pale ivory and black mesh. The cutouts are really cool, too—I really like the unexpected placement.
And the back—ooh la la! At first, I was a bit intimidated by this little (What do I call this? I'm going to go with...) booty window. It's way sexier than anything in my current lingerie drawer, and I could see myself being too shy to buy something like this out at the store. But I was excited to try these undies for myself!
Surprisingly, they fit super well, were really really comfortable, and are even kind of flattering, too! I've got broader hips and a bigger butt, so finding undies that don't pinch or fit awkwardly can be a little tricky. These undies lay neatly and smoothly against my skin—the waistband and legs didn't slide around, but they didn't pinch in either. These definitely came through on Project Lingerie's promise of providing me comfort and confidence, as I felt awesome walking around in these snazzy skivvies. (I usually wear a medium or large in underwear, and chose UK 12 for my size, by the way.)
Tara Bra by Bluebella - Value $44.00
It took me a few tries to figure out which side of this bra is supposed to be on the outside because 1) the stitching is exposed as a cool extra detail, and 2) the black mesh panels running behind the ivory panels look just as cool the other way around. I actually do wish the black mesh laid over top of the ivory, rather than the ivory being on the outside, but that's just me being picky. This bra is super cool looking—I love the sexy, almost sporty cut.
The bra has a typical hook and eye closure at the back of the band...
...and the top "collar" part secures with a simple hook.
There were a couple stray threads on the bra, but they were easy to snip off. I was shocked at how comfortable, yet still supportive this style was! (I'm a 36B, and I chose UK 12 for my subscription.) The middle strap tends to bow forwards a bit as you wear it, but that's the only functional issue I had with the bra. I'm pretty pale right now, so the ivory wasn't the most flattering against my skin, but I think I still prefer having these neutral shades over something colorful. I could see this palette looking incredibly cool on someone with a deeper skin tone, though!
SheerStick Saturated Color Lipstick in Dewy Neutral, 0.12 oz. - Value $9.01 USD
This lip color is a special treat in honor of the subscription's one year anniversary. As I mentioned, my skin is pretty fair, so neutral lip shades are tricky for me. If they're too cool-toned, I end up looking sort of pale and weird.
To my delight, this cruelty-free formula not only felt great on my lips but was warm enough in tone that it didn't leave me looking eerily pale.
This is the color after several coats. As the name suggests, it's really sheer, so I had to apply a few layers of it to build the color. I like the peachy, sandstone shade. It left me feeling polished, but not too "done". No-makeup-makeup lovers will adore this product. And again, it's as moisturizing as a gloss, with just the slightest, dewy finish. Awesome!
The Verdict: As a U.S. customer, this subscription cost me $57.91 (including shipping), but the value inside was about $73.00 (or about $64.00 without the special bonus gift of the lipstick). The style is so me—or me with a super-cool, sexy twist. And best of all, everything was really nice quality and as comfortable as anything I'd wear day-to-day. I love knowing I've got these special pieces in the base layer of my look, especially on date night or when I'm heading to a special occasion where I want to feel fun and flirty. I can't wait to see what looks I end up with next!
